The Month of Love 2015

February was good to us! I love the month of February because after a long month of cold January it seems to go so fast and then signs of spring start to show in March.

Our good friends the Taylor's moved to Las Vegas the beginning of January and they came back up for a visit and it was really fun to see them and for our kids to see each other and play.

The girls at dinner.

This kid never sleeps the right way in his bed. He is always sleeping with his head at the other end.

Josh took Drake to a Super Hero party.  He took Stella to a princess one a couple of months back and this time it was Drake's turn.  Drake wanted to dress up as Batman and Josh was the coolest dad ever and he dressed up as Robin. Drake thought it was pretty cool and I did too!

We love doughnuts from Lee's.  Sometimes I will surprise the kids with rainbow doughnuts for breakfast or we will head over to Lee's and eat them there. I love their apple fritters. They are so good!

Even though we see my parents all of the time, my kids still love to facetime them.  It is especially fun when my dad is gone on his business trips.

I have never been a huge fan of Valentine's Day but since we have had kids, I love it! Josh and I will go out together and celebrate the weekend before or after the actual day, but we spend Valentine's Day as a family.  It is celebrating the people we love and it seems fit that we celebrate it all together.

Drake had preschool to go to so Stella and I went to Taco Time for lunch.  She loves hot dogs of any kind, so these corn dog bites were right up her alley.

My sweet friend sent me a valentines day package.  I had a couple of rough days and had vented to her over the phone and a few days later there were a couple of treats in a package in the mail.  It was very thoughtful and a good reminder to be a friend like this to others.

Ha ha ha! I just love my dad.  He is a funny guy.  I love his posts on instagram because they are usually very entertaining and quite funny.  He also travels so much that this posts are really cool and it is so fun to see what he is doing while he is away from all of us.  This was at an amusement park where one of their rides was under construction so he had to have a hard hat on.  His caption made me get the serious giggles!

I LOVE being in the Primary presidency.  It is a blast to get to know all of the kids and it is so fun to be in there with Drake.  I feel the spirit so strong every Sunday with those sweet children, and I really have learned to love all of them.  We have a good time in our Primary and it is a blast to be a part of. I also work with three of the most incredible women that I adore and they have become some of my dearest friends.

This kid will still snuggle up with his mom and I will take it any time I can get it.  He is a sweet boy with such a tender heart!

I always wanted an older sibling when I was growing up.  I especially wanted an older brother.  I now am really glad that I am the oldest child and I love being the one that looks after my younger siblings, but I have to admit I am really happy that Stella gets to experience having an older brother. He is so good to her and she looks up to him and does everything he does.  She thinks he is the coolest and she loves him so much.  She couldn't have a better example and a better older brother than Drake.

Sebastian's Baptism

I love this group of people! I am so glad my mom became friends with Sophia. I know without a doubt that she was placed into my moms path so that we could get to know her and her sweet family.  She is the most amazing woman who has raised such awesome children. My family has helped her and her kids out a lot, but and she thanks us all so much all of the time. What she doesn't know is that she has done more for our family than we have done for hers.  I LOVE the Hispanic culture. I always tell Josh that if I could be another race, I would choose to be Mexican. I love Mexican food, I love to party and I love the importance of family. These are things that are all important in that culture. We have been to a lot of parties that Sophia has planned and put on and when we are with this group of people (Sophia and her family and friends) we (my family) are definitely the minority.  We are treated with so much kindness and they welcome us and treat us like family. I just love it so much! I just wish that I spoke Spanish fluently. I am working on it and will speak it at some point in my life. We were brought together this time because Sebastian was baptized. He and Sophia asked my Dad if he would the baptism.  My Dad was so honored to be the one to do it and knew that he needed to work on learning the prayer in Spanish.  He was so nervous and practiced and practiced.  He did an amazing job! He was confident and filled with the spirit. It was a great baptism and confirmation.  Even though the entire thing was done in Spanish, I still felt the spirit so strongly.

I love this beautiful friend of mine.

The two that brought this crazy crew together.

Sebastian is such a good boy.  He is so kind and obedient, and as handsome as ever!

All of the kids minus Stella and Noellia

My kids love playing with these kids, they all get a long so well and have so much fun with each other. I am grateful my kids get the experience of spending time with them and seeing what a different culture is all about.

A Happy Valentine's Day

Holidays are really fun with kids. Anything to make the day a little more fun and special than usual is a nice change and a lot of fun.  I do think it is easy to get carried away with each holiday, so I try to keep it pretty simple.  The girls had a Valentine dance party where they handed out valentines, wore pink and red, and had a party.

On the morning of Valentine's we made heart shaped pancakes and drank pink milk.

The normally don't like the kids jumping on our bed, but I decided....what the heck it is a holiday.

Drake and Stella were playing with musical instruments and Josh was leading them in a tune of  Jack and Jill went up the hill. He even sang the second verse. I didn't even know there was a second verse??  He is my guy!

Later in the day after lunch we went to Temptation Cupcake and got cupcakes. I love their cupcakes.  They cake part is moist and dense, and the frosting is perfect cause it isn't too sweet. Yum!

We celebrated Valentine's a different day and Josh and I went out to dinner with Kelsi and Chris without our kids.  On the actual day of Valentine's we like to celebrate with our family.  I figure it is a day to celebrate love, so I want to spend it with the people I love the very most.

Little Women

My mom and I went and saw the musical "Litttle Women" at the Ellen Eccles Theater.  It was AMAZING.  Seriously it was so good and I loved every second of it.  Jay Richards that is from Cache Valley wrote the entire script and music and was awesome.  The actors they had in the show were so talented.  One of them was Marty Blair. He used to be in our Stake Presidency and now he lives in Missoula and is the bishop in Kent and Holly's ward.  He came down for a couple of weeks and learned his part and practiced for a week and then was in the show. I had no idea he could sing the way he did. It was one of the best musicals I have ever been too, and I was so happy I could go with my mom and enjoy the night with her.

Great To Be 8

I LOVE being the secretary in the Primary Presidency. I work with amazing ladies that are so fun and funny. Our Presidency meetings are really fun. We have lots of fun but we also work well together and get a lot done.  We run a pretty sweet primary and have awesome teachers to help us do that. We had our first Great To Be 8 as a presidency and it turned out so great. I was in charge of the decorations, playing the piano and making the cupcakes.

One of the Counselors talked about wearing white so we put up these darling outfits.  Two blessing outfits, a baptism outfit and a wedding dress.

It is so fun being in Primary and seeing the darling kids every week. I have learned to love each and every one of them.  I thought I would miss Relief Society and miss out on feeling the spirit, but I don't! This is where I need to be right now in my life and I feel the spirit so strong every week with those sweet children.

Sick Stella

Poor Stella got the stomach flu and it lasted for a few days. It was miserable and we ended up washing everything in our house because of it. The poor girl tried to make it to the toilet or a bowl, but didn't always get there. She laid around and didn't move for like 3 days straight.

She  was just waiting for the throw up to come. I told her she would be ok, but she sat there with her head in a bowl for a good 15 minutes.

Once she started to feel a little bit better we took the kids on a bike ride so she could get some fresh air. She loved every second of it and brought her spirits up a bit.

She spend a lot of time watching the iPad while she was sick. I was cleaning and doing Laundry the whole time.

Is It Really February

It is the first of February and there is no snow on the ground and the sun is out. I can't believe it. We have been playing outside and meeting friends at the park.  The weather has been awesome!

Drake rigged up a pretty cool thing on his bike.  You could hear this coming down the road from a mile away.

Josh and Kaleb took the kids to Birch Creek to Chip and Putt. The kids had a great time and the Dad's probably had an even better time.

London and Stella are the cutest little friends. They have had  good time playing outside at parks.

Super Bowl Sunday

We were cheering on the Seahawks this year for the Superbowl. They didn't win, but that's ok.  We went to my parents house and had dinner and watched the game. It wasn't that big of a party and really laid back but it still was fun.

January 2015

The month of January was a good one. We had a lot of fun events, but these pictures are just of our every day life.

Drake got his first CTR ring from Primary because he is now a CTR 4.

Drake loves to paint and color pictures.

Taking a Sunday nap.

I was making dinner one night and Drake said he wanted to set the table. He did a great job and was so proud of himself.

Our kids love to eat at Angie's. We like to take them there because they always eat so good!

Gas prices went down sooooo low in the month of January.  It was so nice and made me so happy.  I filled our jeep for $33.78. It made me want to do a happy dance at the gas station!

This meal was so pretty I had to take a picture. It was really yummy too.

These cute girls after dancing. They all love going to dancing and love being there together.

Kenz and I went to a Zumba night down in Provo. It was a lot of fun and a good work out. It was fun to go with Kenz and spend some one on one time with her. After we worked our butts off for a couple of hours we went to In & Out for dinner and it has never tasted so good!

These two have the same hat. Drake thinks his Uncle James is pretty darn cool!

Drake is obsessed with dogs, and sleeps on his big dog Ike every single night and has Pluto in his arms every single night.

I took a sewing class with my mom up at the quilt shop in Preston. We learned how to make these cute pouches. It was a fun class that was pretty easy and we finished them by the time the class was over. It is so fun to go home with a finished project.

Drake loves golf and wants to golf just like his daddy. He thought it was pretty fun to putt around at Al's while we were looking for some new shoes.

I let Drake pick one thing he wanted to do while he and I were out just the two of us running some errands. He picked going to the mall and ride on a couple of the toys in that creepy place!  Whatever floats his boat I guess?!
