Drake's first Christmas

This christmas was a lot of fun. We spent christmas eve and christmas day with my family this year. Josh, Lauren, Drake and I went to the movie "The Blind Side" on christmas eve day, then went to my grandparents for the usual: Good dinner, lots of laughs, acted out the nativity, and got a visit from Santa. We then went to my parents house where we opened our christmas pj's, forgot to put out cookies for santa, heard the bells, and went to bed.

Christmas morning we woke up to lots of fun things. Even though Drake couldn't have cared less about it all, it was still fun to have him here and to see what he got from Santa. The best thing about the whole day was talking to James. We didn't get to talk to him for very long, but it was just good to hear his voice. He is doing great and he has almost been gone a year. We are all so proud of him and love him very much. After we talked to James we had crepes and relaxed. Later that night we had curry at my mom's house (weird tradition I know, but we love it). It was a fabulous day!

It doesn't take much to be the Santa at the Cache Valley Mall

Drake wasn't so sure about this Santa character. The first time meeting this jolly old man shouldn't be in the mall. It is a bad first impression, and I think I may have scarred my kid for life. This Santa smelled funny, had a very fake beard, and was no more than 18 years old. Drake needs to meet the real Santa, cause the mall Santa is giving him bad dreams!

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

We have really enjoyed the last couple weeks of holiday festivities. We joined the Karrens for family home evening and decorated sugar cookies.

This was Cooper's cookie. Doesn't that look yummy?

We had a Christmas party with our friends. We played games and ate dinner. It was really fun, and even Cousin Eddy stopped in to say hello......

Hayley and Grace
John was missed at this party.... he was home sick!

Danny, Karly and Ben
Chad and Liz

Drake and Ben are going to be good buddies!

Drake is 1 month old

I can't believe that Drake is 1 month old. Me being the proud mommy, made cupcakes and invited people over for a little party! I promise I won't do this every month, but it was a good reason to make these........

Nice look Mckay!

I was in charge of the treat, and Josh was in charge of dinner. Well.... you can see how well that turned out :)

I love this little guy

This makes me smile every time I look at it. We are having so much fun with Drake and we love him so much. Some things I love about Drake are....

1. He loves to cuddle with me
2. When I give him his vitamins he gags for ten minutes (slightly dramatic)
3. He burps and farts like a grown man
4. His cute hands and feet
5. The sweet little noises he makes
6. His curly hair
7. His hands are always right up by his face
8. When I bathe him he gets totally relaxed
9. He is so calm when Josh is around (he loves his daddy)
10. How funny it is that we go through SO many diapers a day!
