1/4 Year Old

I have been given a hard time for doing a one month old birthday party for Drake. When he turned two months old, I held off and just Josh, Drake and I celebrated the big event. But last Monday he turned 3 months old, being 1/4 of a year old!! That is a big day for a little guy! Me being the proud mother and adoring everything my first born does, took it upon myself to make him a birthday shirt and have a 1/4 year old party. Thanks to those who celebrated with us, and participated in singing "Happy Birthday" to a 3 month old baby!

P.S. I am not the only crazy one..... Grammy Lisa bought that Birthday Boy bib.

"When I grow up, I want to be a mother...."

Growing up, my mom and my Aunt Holly sang the song, "When I grow up I want to be a mother.... raise a family. Have one little, two little, three little babies of my own....." I realize now that they sang that song at times when they needed reminding that this is what they always wanted to be when they grew up! Being a mom is the best job in the world, but it is times like these that I find myself singing this song!

Let's Go Saints!!

Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone. I have mixed feelings about this. I look forward to this day, not because of the football, but because of all the good food. Now that it is over, the next good food day is not until The Fourth of July....But at the same time I am super happy because it means that football is OVER for a few months! It gives me just enough time to gear up for next football season! (Josh your great!!)

We went to Pocatello for the Super Bowl to watch it with Josh's family. We had a great time and great food! Grandpa and Grandma Wood were pretty excited to see Drake. Great Grandpa Baird was there, and he too was excited to see Drake for the first time.

We are very happy the Saints won. Good for them! Josh and I have wanted to pick a team that our family can be fans of. We have gone through a few of them but haven't decided yet. I actually really like the Saints. I think their quarter back is a good guy, and they seem like they thrive off of teamwork! And to be honest I think their colors and logo are cool. Josh isn't so sure he wants to cheer on the Saints forever, but Drake and I are definitely on Board!

Go Saints!

What's with the hand?

Drake has been doing this the last few days. I don't know why? But he thinks it is pretty cool. I think it may be that he has found his hands and it is a way to look at them. He only does it with his right hand, and he does it all of the time. What a funny kid we have!

Drake's Newborn Pictures

My friend Mari-Catherine took these pictures of Drake when he was just a couple weeks old. They turned out so great, and I am so glad she was willing to take them for us. I am so happy to have these darling pictures of him when he was so small and new. I know I will cherish these pictures forever.

I feel like a Grocery Store

I have wanted to make my own bread for a while, but just needed to learn how to do it. My mom taught me tonight, and our family will be having homemade bread from now on. It is so good, and pretty darn cheap per loaf. So.... I am going to be making bread, producing milk and every once in a while givin out a little sugar! And that is why I feel like a grocery store.
