Haslam Family Reunion 2010

The Haslam Family Reunion was the last weekend in July. We had a great time. It was so fun to be with family and become even closer with one another. We started our activities with a good old day at......well the picture below kinda gives it away.

LAGOON!!

Drake was happy to be there and loved riding in the stroller and watching all of the commotion around him.

Grandpa sat with Drake most of the time so we could ride some of the rides. I am not a big ride lover either, so I sat out most of the time too.

All of the girls plus Kyler.

Lauren, Braxton and Mckay are all the same age. They are so lucky to have cousins the same age as them. The three of them went to EFY together this year. This is right before getting ready to go on the Sky Coaster.

Boston loves Lagoon! Grandpa and Boston riding the Lady Bug Bop

Grandma with the two little boys, Boston and Kyler.

These two are best buds. They were showing us their dance moves.

The one and only ride Drake went on.

Cute Boston.

He was tuckered out half way through the day and very hot. Grandpa Kevin and Daddy took him swimming at Lagoona Beach to cool off.

The day at Lagoon was very hot, but very fun. The kids all loved it and that is what is most important. Thursday we all headed to Bear Lake. We stayed at Blue Water in their condos. We had two big condos between all of us. We had dinner that night and just enjoyed visiting with each other. The next day was a day at the beach. Grandpa Larry rented two wave runners for the day and my dad had his boat. It was a blast!

Grandma rode the wave runner with Braxton.

Then she spent the rest of the time holding Drake and watching the kids play in the sand.

Lauren and Me.

Drake loved the water. It actually was really warm.

Beautiful Mermaids.

I water skied for the first time in two years. The water was terrible, but I had to prove to myself I could still do it!!

Josh and Me tubing.

Drake in his new life jacket Grandpa bought him.

Boston, Lauren, Hannah and Avery with the best seats on the boat.

Everyone was either on the boat or eating lunch, so Grandpa took the wave runner for a spin by himself. Crazy Grandpa!

Drake loved riding in the boat.

Me, Mckay and Braxton.

Josh planned games for us to play. He got the ideas from the show on TV Minute to Win it. It was so much fun. Everyone enjoyed it, and we all got a good laugh. After those games, we all played a few rounds of Mafia.

Hannah playing the Elephant Game.

Grandpa trying to get 6 penne pastas on to one spaghetti noodle using his mouth.

Kent trying to knock a pyramid of empty pop cans over by shooting an elastic.

Grandma doing the "Breakfast Scramble" Trying to put a puzzle of a cereal box together.

I played the Elephant game as well. You think this picture is funny.... just wait and see what is below!!

All of the grand daughters. Elli was asleep and we didn't want to leave her out of the picture, so we crawled into bed with her and made her smile for the picture. We now call her Bernie!!

All of the grandkids, minus the Wade Haslam kids.

The reunion was a success and so much fun. I am grateful for the family I belong to, and I love them very much. We sure know how to have a good time. We all enjoyed everything about the reunion, but there was one part that had us all laughing harder than we have ever laughed before and that was......

A Mom of Four

Look at those handsome boys! Last week we watched the Karren kiddos. We had a great time with them. They were so good for us and especially helped me out a lot during the day while Josh was at work. I was a little nervous to go from watching one kid to four, but it was awesome. (Yes Barb, I will give you more grandkids). I have to say, it is nice to have older kids around cause they can help around the house. These kids were so good at doing chores and keeping the house as clean as we could! We were so busy I forgot to take more pictures. The kids made a list of things they wanted to do and we checked most of them off, as well as some other things.
  • Borders to look at the books
  • Petsmart to see all of the animals (Logan thought it was so funny to show me the naked mole rats, because they totally grossed me out)
  • Dollar store to look at all the cool stuff
  • McDonalds for lunch
  • Watched a Red Box
  • Went to a movie (Despicable Me)
  • Ate pizza
  • Made bracelets
  • Caspers for Ice Cream
  • Had Grandma and Grandpa Wood over for dinner one night
  • Cooper watched a lot of Dora. (That little Spanish Girl saved my life)
  • Played Monopoly with Grandpa and Grandma
  • Bought Oatmeal Creme Pies for Logan and ate the whole box
  • Ate a lot of Popsicles
So as you can see, it was pretty much a party the whole time we were there! I figured, they were good and did all of the things they were supposed to and then some, so we just had fun the rest of the time! Thats what Aunts and Uncles are for! Thank you kids for being so good for me. I love you, and am grateful I get to be your Aunt!

Exhausted

I guess when you are exhausted it doesn't really matter how you fall asleep, just as long as you get some sleep!
