Making Gingerbread Men

We started a new tradition this year of making gingerbread men. It was a lot of fun for the kids to decorate. I enjoyed it too!

Holly made the gingerbread and it was delicious!

Drake loves it at Dan and Holly's house. There are so many toys and kids to play with.

Josh, Ashley and Drake

Elder Rohwer (who comes home in 5 days)!!

Grandpa and Me

Elli and Hannah made some cute snowmen.

I love the hula girl Lauren did. So cute!

Grandma "Sa Sa" (That is how Drake says Lisa)

You might think this is the gingerbread men that Drake did..... nope it is Mckay's!

Grandma helped Boston do this basketball player.

Drake just crawled up and down the stairs getting toys from upstairs and bringing them downstairs. Elli tied that bow around his waste, and he thought it was pretty cool.

Christmas Project

Hayley, Karly and I worked hard the last week of November and the first week of December to get this advent calendar done for the Christmas season. It was a big pain cutting out the different felt ornaments, but it was fun to hang out with my friends and now we have these cute advent calendars that we will use for years to come. I think it turned out great! There is only one ornament that we still have to do and that is a wreath. It will be super cute when it is done, but it is going to take some time to do it, so we decided to save it for another night. I am excited when my kids will be able to enjoy this calendar!

Florida

Drake and I got super lucky and got to go with my Mom and Dad to Florida for a business trip for my Dad. He works in the Amusement Industry, and they have a big trade show they attend every year called IAPPA. It was in Orlando this year. It was a lot of fun to see all that my Dad has created for this show. He was super busy working most of the time, so we didn't get to see him a lot, but it was still a lot of fun.

Drake was so good on the plane. We got so lucky on the way over.... the only seat that was open on the entire plane was the one in between my mom and me. Drake got his own seat and it was heavenly!!

He ate a lot of snacks and suckers, and watched the Backyardigans.

The first day we hung out at the pool. It was the only day Grandpa could hang out with us. Drake loved playing with him in the water.

He also enjoyed taking a good nap by the pool.

We were there on Drake's actual birthday the 15th of November. And who better to celebrate your birthday with than the crew at Disney World Magic Kingdom? It was a fun day. (I definitely like Disneyland better!! It is way more magical and Magic Kingdom only had ONE churro stand.... that is so unacceptable!!) But still lots of fun!!!
On the tram to Magic Kingdom

Drake's first visit! They had a Happy Birthday Button they put on Drake so people would know it was his birthday. He had people in the parade coming and talking to him and everyone at all the rides said something to him. It was really cute!

Dumbo

Drake loved the Winnie the Pooh ride!

It really is a "Small World" We sat behind the world's stinkiest people on that ride, and all I was wishing for at that moment was a Big World!!

Lucky Drake slept through the whole thing!

Nothing like a diet coke break in the middle of the day!

Peter Pan

Pirates of the Caribbean... the best ride at Disneyland!
Getting ready to meet Micky and Minnie.

Not a fan! Mickey is good enough on a shirt, but he didn't want to have anything to do with him in person. Even though Drake won't remember it, it was still fun to take him there. It was a great first birthday!

We ate a lot of great food while we were in Florida, including room service!! I had never ordered room service before, and it is my new favorite thing :) Drake enjoyed it too!

He was treated like a king while we were there. He insisted on laying back while I fed him breakfast!!

One day we went over to the trade show and walked around and looked at all of the new things. We didn't ride any rides, but we got free pizza, dip n' dots, nachos, diet coke, candy and free pictures in the picture booths.

We also got to meet Lizard Man

He was so gross!!! If this were Drake I would kill him!!

A replica of the World's tallest man.

Yikes, those are some big feet!

The highlight of my trip was going to Harry Potter World. They had a private party for those attending the trade show. It was so awesome cause they served lots of food, and all food that they talk about in the Harry Potter books. We walked on to every ride and got as much butterbeer as we wanted (not alcoholic) It was delicious!! My mom and dad haven't read the books, so it meant nothing to them, but I was like a little kid on Christmas. It was so cool!!

The Hogwart's Express

The sorting hat. It put me in Gryffindor!!

The talking pictures!

Zonko's Joke Shop

Drinking some butterbeer!!

As you can see we had a good trip and wore this kid out!
