Attempt at Potty Training

We went through a phase a couple of months ago, where we were trying to introduce Drake to potty training. Well we did just that.. introduced him to it. That is as far as it went, and this kid is showing no interest in it! I was hoping to have him potty trained before this baby comes, but I don't think that is going to happen. I am praying for a miracle!

Engaged

My younger brother James got engaged to Lexi in January. Our family couldn't be happier about this. They are the cutest couple, and we absolutely love her. We have been hoping for this before James even knew who she was. They are getting married June 15th. Congrats you two!

My Claim to Fame

So most of you don't know this about me, but when I was 12 years old I was on the Donny and Marie show with my Dad for his work. He had owned the company that made Bungee Trampolines and they wanted him on the show, and lucky me I got to go with him. I had heard a lot about Donny Osmond from my Mom, and quickly realized what a hit he was back in the day. I have since been a huge fan of Donny's.

Well yesterday Josh and I took a trip to IKEA to get some stuff for the baby's room. We happened to be there the same time as Donny Osmond. I was pretty excited about it and went and said something to him and told him who I was. We had a quick visit and then got a picture to send to my Dad. Poor guy is out with his family and here come this pregnant blonde who wants a picture.... ha ha oh well!

They Got Caught!

We went to Pocatello the day after Christmas to spend some time with Josh's family. We exchanged gifts on Monday and spent the day and night at Barb and Syd's. Tuesday we met our friends Morgan and Jill who were in town for lunch, and then had to leave Pocatello because Josh had to be home for a meeting. Everyone else was staying in Pocatello and wanted Drake to stay Tuesday night too and then come home with Robin on Wednesday. It was awesome. Josh and I came home that night and watched a movie and I was able to get so many errands and things done on Wednesday without Drake. Plus, he was having way more fun. He loves playing with Cooper and Emmy! Well, on Tuesday night Barb was cooking dinner and realized it was kind of quiet. She went to get in the pantry to get something and there was Drake and Cooper sitting on the floor quiet as can be playing on Grandma's new iPad. HA HA HA!! Little stinkers snuck in there so they could get a chance at the new toy! Drake had a blast with his cousins and I am so grateful he has cousins close to his age that he can play with. He also has grandparents and so many aunts and uncles that love him so much. What a lucky kid. While I enjoyed by day on Wednesday, the Pocatello crew went to Lava Hot Springs and Dinner. Drake got home at 10:00 that night, and was as tired as could be. Thanks again for keeping him with you, it was a nice break!

Christmas 2011

Christmas 2011 was a good one! We got a lot of our Christmas shopping done early in the month so we were able to enjoy the month of December. Drake was so fun this year. Even though he still doesn't get the whole thing, he knew who Santa was and was excited for him to come Christmas Eve. Thanks to our elf Tangle who watches over us, Drake was really nice and got lots of presents from Santa.

We took Drake to the mall to sit on Santa's lap. He wasn't scared at all. He asked Santa for a play phone, a bean bag and some cars.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents house for dinner, games, and a Christmas message about Christ. We also got a visit from Santa Claus.

Boston

Drake was in the living room right by the front door when Santa walked in shaking his bells. It scared Drake a little bit, so it took him a while to warm up to Santa.

The teenagers.. Mckay, Lauren, and Hannah

Hannah and Elli made up a dance to a Christmas song and performed it for us. It was so cute!

After my grandparents house we went to my parents house and opened up our Christmas Eve Pj's! This is seriously my favorite part about Christmas!! I love getting new pajamas!

I made Drake's Christmas Pj's this year. He was so excited when he opened them up. He has a love for pajamas like his mom. If he could stay in his pj's all day he would.

Uncle James and Drake laying in James' bed looking at the stars on the ceiling.

Drake and new baby's loot from Santa. I helped Santa by making the bean bag!

Aunt Laurley and Drake playing games on Lauren's phone.

The siblings in our Christmas pj's. Yes those are Call of Duty pants that James and Josh are wearing! They love video games and so this fits them well.

Wow! I should't be in any pictures while pregnant. When I changed into my "mom" pj's and walked out, Lauren just started laughing out loud at me. I guess the pajama sets aren't cool when you are in high school!

Yep.... that is who I am married to!

We read a Christmas story to Drake and listened for Santa's bells, and we heard them. Drake again, was a little scared of those dang bells, and is still talking about it. We went home and went to bed and Drake was so good to go to sleep that night because of Santa coming!

Christmas Day

We woke up Christmas morning and went to church at my brother's student stake because he had to speak. He did a great job! It was nice to go to church on Christmas and be reminded what Christmas is really about. We then went to my parents to open up presents! Lauren got some really cute things. She got hair extensions, and they look awesome... it makes me want long hair myself!

James enjoyed his first Christmas back from his mission. We also enjoyed having him home.

Joshy got so spoiled by me and my parents. One of the gifts I gave him was a deck of cards with a reason why I love him written on each one!

Drake loved all of his presents for about a minute and then he wanted Grandpa to make him a basket ball hoop. So the best gift of the day was a box with a hole cut in it and an old ball!

A Christmas Getaway to Ogden

I know by the sound of this title, it doesn't sound like you could have a very fun weekend getaway in Ogden, but we did! When I was growing up, my family always went down to Salt Lake at Christmas time to stay in a hotel, see the lights at temple square, eat somewhere fun, and swim! We have done this as long as I can remember, and it is something I want to continue to do with our family. A few weeks ago we were driving home from one of Lauren's dance competitions and stopped in Ogden for dinner. There downtown area is so fun! There are great restaurants, fun shops, and the lights at Christmas Village were awesome. We decided to switch it up this year and go to Ogden. It was just as fun as going to Salt Lake. We went to dinner at Roosters Thursday night, saw the lights, and went back to the hotel and the boys and Lexi went swimming. Drake loved it, and of course I didn't get any pictures! Saturday we looked around the shops and then James, Lexi and Josh went Indoor Sky Diving! It looked so much fun and I wish I could have done it. I will have to go back when I am not pregnant!

Boys Weekend

My Dad, Josh, James, Dan, Mckay and Ted went to Boise a few weekends ago for the Aggie Football Bowl Game. They left on Friday. That night they went to dinner, went to the Imax movie of Mission Impossible 4, and played video games. The next day they went to a pre-game party and then the game. Unfortunately the Aggies lost, but it was so close! Josh was so excited to be up there and from the sounds of it, they had a great time!

Drake and I had a good time as well. Friday night we went to dinner with my Mom, Lexi and Holly. Saturday I went to a Christmas lunch with my friends from high school and then later that night Jordan and I went to the Aggie basketball game.
