The Taylor's Tradition

Our friends Tessa and Landon invited us out to Landon's parents house to be a part of a tradition they do every year. They make this Swedish dessert.  It is a mixture between like a doughnut and a chip.  They are very yummy.  You have to roll the dough out and stretch it really thin.  Then you fry them and sprinkle them with sugar.  They are so dang good and they were so fun to make.  It was fun to be there together as friends and fun to be a part of someone else's tradition!

Ward Christmas Party

We had so much fun at our ward Christmas party this year.  We just got put into a new ward not too long ago so I don't know very many people in the ward. This party was good for that because we all got to meet each other and have a good time together!

They had a place where all of the kids had a craft.  They all made ornaments.

Stella hates going to nursery.  She spotted her nursery leader at the party and hid from her!

Folding her arms so good during the prayer.

And eating her favorite thing.....meat!!

Kelsi was in charge of it and then Josh was the bishopric member that helped with it.  They did some minute to win it games.  They were so much fun! The whole ward participated and everyone was laughing and having a great time.  It was the most fun ward party I have ever been to.

They also had a photo booth for all of the families go get their pictures taken. Such a great idea!

Matinee Movie With Friends

We went with Jennie and Hayley and their kids to a matinee movie to see Frozen again. The kids loved it and so did we!

Sitting on Santa's Lap

Drake loved seeing Santa this year.  He told him he wanted a toy kitchen and then he just say and talked to him for a while.  There wasn't anyone waiting in line so Santa spent a lot of time with him.  Drake was in heaven.

Stella wasn't so sure of the old guy and she started to cry even if he looked at her.  Finally she let him come over to her!

Bringing in Christmas

I love this time of year.  It just makes me happy!  Josh put up our Christmas lights the day after Thanksgiving.  Not very many people in our area of town homes put them up but we decided to, and I am really glad we did!

Josh had to take some clients to a Jazz game one night so the kids and I tagged along with our friends the Allen's and the Jensen's up to Preston to see the lights and Christmas parade. It was a blast and the kids loved it.

Blake parked his truck on the street and the kids played in the back of it and ate treats.

Stella and Lena just waited in their strollers.

Look at my cute friends!

Then before the parade started they had fireworks.

The parade had all of the floats lit up with lights and at the end of the parade there was Santa! The kids loved it and so did the adults.

Then we went to the house that has a ton of lights on it and drove through their driveway and looked at all the lights and little scenes they had in their yard.

Drake fell asleep as soon as that was over.

We drove to Big J's in Richmond to get some dinner.  London and Drake just sat on a table and watched a show. Funny kids.  I really wish Josh could have been with us tonight, but I am really glad they let me tag a long with all of them. It was such a fun night and a great way to bring in the holiday spirit!

If this picture won't make you happy then I don't know what will.  They were so happy to have their own Christmas tree they just sat there by each other and looked at the lights.  So sweet!

We drove down together to SLC for Josh's work party.  It was nice to ride in the car with Josh and be able to talk without any kids screaming in the background.  It was also fun to get to know some of the people that Josh works with.

Drake went with my parents to pick out their Christmas tree.  He loved every minute of it.  I am so glad we live close to my parents so Drake and Stella get to experience fun things like this with them!  So far it is looking to be a great Christmas season!

Christmas Cards

These first two are the Christmas cards we sent out this year.  I loved all of them so much so it was so hard to decide what to do.  My friend Kelsi did them for me and she did an amazing job!

Thanksgiving 2013

We had a great Thanksgiving this year.  We were supposed to be with Josh's family but Barb and Syd went to Seattle to see Andrea and Jonathan because they just had their new baby Ian.  So we were with my family this year.  We went to my grandparents house along with Dan and Holly and their family, My parents and my Grandpa and Grandma.  We had a great meal and enjoyed the time together.  Drake loves playing with his cousins.  I am so grateful for the awesome family that I belong to. They make me so happy and so proud!  I love that I have always lived so close to all of them and so I have been able to form such close relationships with all of them.  We have a great time when we are together and I love them all so much!

I am also grateful for these darling kids. They make me smile every day.  I am grateful that I am a mother and that I get to stay home with them and take care of them, teach them and have them teach me things every single day. They make me so happy!

This guy! He is my very best friend.  I love him more than anything in this whole wide world.  He is such a hard working, kind, smart, funny guy!  I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am glad that he is who I get to share this life with.  I love you Joshy!

After we ate we all went and saw a movie.  We saw the Disney movie Frozen.  It was so cute.  Everyone loved it and I left wanting to see it again.  The plot was great, the music was to die for and the characters were so cute and funny!

When we got back to my grandparents, Hannah and Elli helped me make these pie boxes for people to take home extra pie.

I made a couple of banana cream pies and they were so delicious!!
