Look Alikes

Both of my kids look like Josh, so I was on a search to see if there was anyone on my side that Stella looks like.  She does look Lauren but I also found that she looks like my Great Grandma Bernice. She is my Grandma Priscilla's mother.

This isn't the best picture of Stella considering she has a candy cane stuck in her hair, but it was the best picture I had that she had a serious face. I think she looks a lot like Grandma Bernie!

Drake on the other hand doesn't look like me at all or anyone on my side for that matter. He is all Wood.  He is Syd Wood's twin. It is really darling. He has his ears. Josh doesn't have those ears, so we are thinking it skips a generation.  I couldn't think of anyone better for Drake to look like and hopefully be just like him. He is a good man that I love dearly.

Princess Ball With Daddy

All of the guys signed up to take their daughters to a princess party at Castle Manor. It was their idea and so sweet. It happened to fall on the same day that I was gone at a dance competition so Hayley got Stella ready for me and kept Drake at her house.

These two are darling little friends.  Look how cute!

Stella idolizes her daddy and she has him wrapped right around that tiny little finger.

We happened to know Snow White and Stella thought it was pretty cool that she knew her name. That is my cousin Alex.  Doesn't she make a darling Snow White?

Stella and her daddy look like twins in this picture.  She is one lucky girl to have him as her daddy!

A Blast From The Past

Errin is one of those friends that we can go weeks without talking and we just pick up right where we left off when we see each other. She is one of my very best friends that I love so much.  Her sister Ellie and my cousin Hannah are both on Logan High's drill team and so we were both at a competition to watch them.  It was a blast!  Both of us were kid free and were able to hang out all day. We talked and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt.  It was a blast from the past and I enjoyed every single second. Her parents were there too and we went with them to Costco.  When I got into the back seat of the car with Errin by my side I almost started to cry. It was such a great memory of so many times doing that exact same thing. Tim and Kolette taught me so many things and were and are such a huge part of my life and me being the person I am today. I love these people with all of my heart and am so grateful to have such a great friend!

The Hilo's did great and went on to win Region and take 2nd at State! That is HUGE!

Billy Goat Lane

Lexi started an etsy shop and the name of it is Billy Goat Lane. She make those darling Moccasins and those cute pants.  Lucky for us, Stella gets to try stuff out before she sells it.  Isn't that stuff the cutest!?

Hangin With The Neil's

It is guaranteed that we will always have a good time with the Neil's.  We get in some good laughs, good conversation, and our kids love to play together. While we were hanging out downstairs the kids were playing upstairs, and Hayley later found these pictures on her phone :)

These two are sweet little friends that really love each other a lot!

Later that evening we had a dance party.  These kids have some good moves.

And a quick game of limbo before we went home.

Those Neil's know how to have a good time!

Stella is Crazy

Stella has the most unique personality. She is sweet, sassy, bossy, loving, thoughtful, crazy, dramatic and just as funny as can be.  She does stuff to make people laugh. It is pretty impressive that she has learned this at such a young age.  She is such a joy to have in our household and we love her so much.  She bosses us all around and pretty much runs the show around here. Drake is a good big brother and puts up with her most of the time. We spend a lot of our time laughing at this sweet girl.

This is how we do FHE at our house.  We do it in style!

She took off her diaper and climbed in the sink for breakfast.  What the heck?

And to get one more laugh out of everyone, she took it one step further and started to clean herself with the dish scrubber.

She loves sugar. Anything sweet and she will go for it. Oreo's were a pretty big hit with this girl.

Captain Stella

I always find her in this sink.

She is obsessed with sitting on the toilet, but yet she still isn't potty trained? She just wants to be a big kid so bad!

We had a few nights of Stella not sleeping well. She would wake up in the night and scream because she was either hungry, thirsty, or scared and wanted us to sit in her room. During this time I was home by myself cause Josh was in St. George. I let her scream it out for a while and then went and got her. This was at 12:54 a.m. and she wanted something to eat. I gave in and I shouldn't have because not only was she up, but she spilled her milk everywhere and was pretty happy about it.

Just trying to make a smoothie with a full thing of yogurt and a toothbrush.

The next night she was up doing the same thing. She wanted some cheese and a glass of milk.

She then fell fast asleep in my bed with me.  She insisted on sleeping right next to me or on my back.  Lets just say I didn't sleep very good that night,

She gives some pretty interesting looks. She is the queen of giving the stink eye!

The two things she loves the most, sunglasses and her binky!

She asked for some purple orange juice.

She has the best bed head every morning.  Her hair is just crazy! And look at that darling little robe.

She likes to fall asleep on her chair sometimes.  We would have never let Drake do this.  We would have made him get in his bed because that is where we go to sleep. But with her for some reason we have lost all control and have realized that it really doesn't matter and she gets away with a lot more than Drake every did.  Poor Drake is going to be our guinea pig on this whole parenting thing.

New Year's Day 2015

New Years Day started with this happy face. Look at that darling face!!  Seriously! I know that I think she is extra cute because she is my own kid, but she is pretty darn cute. She is a happy kid and started out the year of 2015 right!

I love New Years Day.  It is so nice to have a fresh new start.  I always feel rejuvenated and ready to conquer my goals.  Some of the goals never get completed but some of them do and it feels really good.  We have a tradition every year that we go to my grandparents house for Skiyaki.  It is a Japanese dish that is oh so good!  We all stink when we leave, but it is worth it because it is some of my most favorite food. We played games with my family.  We played the name game. It is by far my favorite game. It is so fun and we had a blast with each other.  I have the coolest family in the world!

Skiyaki and Inari sushi....YUM!

My mom always wears her glasses like this. Ha ha ha, she needs bifocals.

My Dad is one of those grandpas that breaks all of the rules and does anything he can to be fun and do anything he didn't get to do as a dad (even thought he was a pretty fun dad and did stuff like this too).  I guess this is the reward for being a parent who had to discipline their own children.  Now they get to just do all of the fun stuff!

Here is to the year of 201. May you be a good one!
