We Love Summer

We have really enjoyed our summer so far.  April was a great time of year to have a baby.  We have been able to be outside and not be so worried about keeping her bundled up. Drake loves playing outside and we make sure to get outside as much as possible.

Drake helping "Grandpa Great" in his garden.

Playing at Lundstrom Park with Cooper and Grace.  Drake sweats so much when he gets playing. You can't see it very well in this picture, but his head is dripping with sweat and his cheeks are bright red.

Sheldon and Nikki had Addison 3 weeks before we had Stella. We are excited about having these two be so close together in age.  They are going to be great friends.  We have had a lot of fun with Sheldon and Nikki and are happy they are our friends.

Another visit to Lundstrom Park on a Sunday for lunch with the family.

Drake and I play outside in our backyard in the sprinkler.  He loves  it when I spray him with the hose.

Drake's favorite thing about the warm weather is eating lunch outside.

We went up the canyon for a cookout with my Aunts and Uncles and their kids and my Grandpa and Grandma.  It was fun to roast some hot dogs, play games, make s'mores and just visit by the fire.

We love taking rides in Grandpa and Grandma's jeep.

Because of all of the fun we have been having, unfortunately that means no naps for Drake some days. That leads to him falling asleep in the car. There is evidence on his face that we have been having our fair share of yummy treats too!

Isn't she beautiful.  I can't get enough of her.  Drake is so sweet with her and she always smiles when he talks to her.

Drake helping Uncle James with his "honey do" list.

We went to the Brigham City Pool with the Johns family.  It was a hit!!  There weren't very many people, the slides are more fun for the smaller kids, Drake loved going down the big slide with me or Holly, Stella loved dipping her feet in the water, and we got to eat lunch at Maddox when we were done.

We went to our ward summer party last week.  It was so fun to talk with people and get to know them better.  They had dinner and games for the little kids.  Drake loved the cake walk and seriously ate like 10 cupcakes.

We still have 2 more months of Summer with some fun things still ahead!

Grandma Lisa and Stella

My Mom and Dad were in charge of the wedding luncheon and it was so nice.  They had it at the Riter Mansion and it was catered by Elements.  My Mom and I put together the little wedding favors that turned out so cute.  They were a tin of mints and the saying said "mint to be" and inside it said "a breath of fresh air" It was really cute.

My mom and I also made these sticks for the table numbers.  They looked so cute on the tables.

The tables were decorated so cute for the reception.  Lexi collected these vases, teacups, frames and teapots. They served cupcakes that were so good and also decorated so cute.  Everybody ate them on old vintage plates and teacups.

The day was absolutely perfect.  It was so fun to see family and friends and spend time with them.  Everything we so smoothly and was a lot of fun.  They are a darling couple and we are more than happy to have Lexi in our family.  She is great for James and James is great for her.
We love you so much!
