5 Year Anniversary

Josh and I were able to get away for a night for our 5 year anniversary!  I cannot believe how fast those five years went.  We have a friend that had a discount coupon for a place in Park City at a resort called The Montage.  It was so nice and so much fun to stay in such a fancy place. It was just fun to get away and spend time with Josh (and Stella... she won't take a bottle!)

It was high in the mountains in Deer Valley and so when we drove up to it we couldn't see much.  As soon as we pulled up we had guys there to take our bags, park our car and get us checked in.

This dude escorted us to our room to show us how stuff worked in the room.

I just had to take a picture of the whole room because it was so nice!

After we checked into our room we went outside where they had a movie playing and a big fire for s'mores. They weren't just your regular s'mores either, they had any tons of different flavored marshmallows.

We then walked around the whole resort just to check it out. They had a couple of different places to eat, a couple of swimming pools, a really nice spa and a game room with a bowling alley.

Earlier that day we were at the mall and I was in bath and body works.  We picked up some scrubs and face masks.  Josh was a good sport and did it with me!

Stella loved being down there (what girl wouldn't?)  She was really good, and loved the big huge tub!

Part of the discount coupon we had was good for a $50 breakfast voucher, so we got room service.  It was delish!  For those of you that know Josh, he smells everything before he eats it... it is just one of the things I love about him. I was fortunate enough to get a picture of it.

Our cute little third wheel.

In the morning we were surprised to see what the place looked like because it was so dark when we got there.  It is huge!  Not only do they have hotel rooms, but they have residences as well. What a great place to live.  When Josh is retired maybe we can live here one day?!

We were really impressed by the great service we received while staying at the Montage.  But we kind of laughed at some of it too because we are not used to being treated that way!

We wished we could have stayed there another night we we could enjoy more that the resort had to offer, but our time was short and sweet.  We had a lot of fun with each other and just enjoyed the time we had there to relax. Josh has been so busy with his new job and school that we haven't seen a lot of each other lately.  I am so grateful for Josh and am looking forward to many more great years to come.  He makes me laugh and smile everyday.  He is a great husband and an outstanding dad.  I love him so much and am so grateful I am sealed to him for eternity.  I love you Josh!

While we were gone, Drake stayed with James and Lexi and had a sleepover at "The Apartment".  They took him to dinner, let him stay up late and watch a movie, and they bought him a fish.  A gold fish he named Tom.  He was pretty proud of that fish and couldn't wait to show us.  Tom only lived for a few days, but now Drake can't say I never let him have a pet :)

The First of Fall

It is fall at our house when football starts! I really enjoy watching football.  I love the environment, the cooler weather, and the excitement of watching a good football game.  Josh doesn't just like football, he LOVES football.  He is a huge sports fan, but an even bigger Aggie fan.  Since being married to him I too have gained a bigger appreciation for sports, and especially Aggie sports.  Fall is my favorite time of the year for many reasons and football is definitely one of them.  Josh has made it fun for me to watch because he explains everything to me, always buys me game day clothes, and makes sure I get a good hot dog and a diet coke at the game :)

My little sister Lauren is a cheerleader for Logan High so we have put on our crimson and gold and gone to a few games.

We have been to a few Aggie games as well.  We have had great weather, so the whole family has been able to go.

I made this quilt for Josh with all of his old Aggie T-shirts.  I was able to get it done about an hour before the first Aggie football games of this season.  I think it turned out awesome, and Josh loves it.

We played the University of Utah and beat them in over time.  It was a great game and Josh was sure it had to do with the quilt I made him.

Stella's first Aggie game.  She did awesome! She didn't cry once.  She just sat and watched the game and stayed awake the whole time.

The Karma Quilt

A couple of weekends ago was Homecoming Week for Logan High.  They had their parade on Wednesday night and I took Drake to it.  He loved the parade!!  The look on his face when they started throwing out candy was priceless.

Drake quickly learned what to do at a parade from Boston.

We went to the homecoming game that Friday night.  Lauren performed at half time.  They performed a dance that she had choreographed.  It was a great dance, and they looked so cute!

Drake is really getting into watching football... this makes his Dad so proud!

Logan played Sky View for Sky View's homecoming.  Even though I live right next to Sky View I still had to go and cheer for Logan.  When we all woke up on Friday morning we were surprised to see that the SV on the mountain had been painted crimson and gold.  I have to admit, I was so proud of whoever had done it.  The last time that had been done was 9 years ago when yours truly did it with two of her friends! Give me some time and I will be a Bobcat fan, it is just going to take some time :)

Our cute neighbor girl Hailey came with us to the game. She is so cute to my kids and they love her.  She is always outside playing and says hi and waves every time we see her. Her family just moved here, and we couldn't be happier to have them across the street!

I had to take a picture of Stella's cute outfit.  She is the cutest thing I have ever seen!

The second Aggie game.  Josh went up before with a group of his friends and tailgated, and the kids and myself came when the game started so we didn't have to wait on the cement seats.  They had a whiteout for this game and almost everyone in the stadium were wearing white shirts. It was awesome!

Go Aggies!
