My Favorite Month of the Year

October is by far my favorite month of the year! I love the weather, the smell, the crisp air, crunchy leaves and just the month of fun parties. We started the month off by reading some Halloween books, getting lunch at Taco Bell (a random craving of mine) and a pedicure. Stella didn't want her toes painted but just wanted to sit by me and watch.

We got our flu shots in October and both of my kids were so brave. Neither of them cried and they held each others hands while they got them done.

Stella has the craziest hair in the mornings after she wakes up. This picture she had only been asleep for an hour and her hair was already in curls and matted. She is the sweetest!

Our kids love FHE.  Even though I feel like they don't listen to a thing we are teaching them, I enjoy it too because it gives us time that is set aside where we get to spend time together and learn more about the gospel. Drake especially loves leading us in an opening song.

Stella and I had a girls night out for dinner and we went to Noodles because she wanted macaroni and cheese. She ate the entire thing by herself and some of mine.

Stella's preschool class went on a field trip to the Munk Dairy Farm.  I went with them and it was really cool to see. The kids loved it and especially loved feeding the baby calves.

Josh and Stella just having some fun blowing leaves :)

Our kids play really well together and get along most of the time. They can really fight and be mean, but when they are nice they have such a great time and are actually really close. Drake is such a good example to Stella and she idolizes him and wants to do everything just like he does. It makes this mommy really happy!

Josh and I went to an Aggie Football game together. It was against Boise and we haven't beat them in sooooo many years. Well.... this was one of the best, most exciting games I have ever been to. We beat them and played some awesome football. It was so fun to be there and watch.

I have been working on getting the nursery done. It is kind of hard to do it gender neutral, but it still is cute and fun. It is a work in progress but some of it is done and getting us excited for baby to come.

I love this pictures of my Grandma face timing with Drake. Drake adores her and thinks she is pretty funny!

These cardboard boxes entertained my kids for days! I guess I just need to buy more stuff online so they stay entertained :)

Who is this child? She dressed herself today and boy oh boy did she pick a good outfit. YIKES!

We saw these golden doodles for sale and had to stop to look at them. They were so cute and we all fell in love. One day when we have a house and a yard I would like to get one of these dogs. They are so cute, smart and don't shed!!

We were playing games on a Sunday night with my family and there is this game that we all enter in answers on our phones and then we see each others answers at the end. Well James and Lexi had fun and gave out a pretty big announcement. We are so excited for them. They are due in June and we couldn't be happier for them and for a cousin for our kids!

All dressed up in their fall Sunday clothes.

Halloween 2015

My kids were so excited for not only Halloween, but the week leading up to Halloween because of all the different activities and parties they were having all week.  Stella had a Halloween party at school where she went as a little witch and then at dance where she went as Doc McStuffins.

On Halloween Stella decided to go as Doc McStuffins and Drake was a bat. I made his costume and he was so excited to wear it! Halloween was on a Saturday this year and it was perfect. I wish it was on a Saturday every year. We enjoyed the morning at home together as a family and then began all of the fun.

We went to our favorite stop on Halloween and that is Lee's.  They give away the best stuff and have a fun spook alley in the back that is kid friendly.

Then we made a stop at Eloise's house. She had a treat for my kids and they were excited to see her!

We went to trick or treat to my parents house and the kids were so excited to show off their costumes to Grandpa and Grandma.

We have a bat, a pregnant hippie, Doc McStuffins and an Aggie fan.

After made all of our stops we went home and Josh took the kids out trick or treating and I stayed home and handed out candy to all the kids. It was fun to see the neighbor kids and some of my primary kids. I was a witch for the rest of the night.

Later in the evening we went to the Allen's house for apple fritters and root beer. They are the best apple fritters and I shoved my face full of about 30 of them. Then my family was over at my house for a while and we just hung out and played some games. It was a perfect Halloween.

Dressing Up

I love Halloween because there is always fun parties and get togethers, and I love it because at those said parties you always get to dress up. This year I did quite a bit of dressing up and had a great time doing it. My first party was a dance party up at the Country Club.  It was called "All Ghoul's Night Out".  It was a dance party for girls only.  Kelsi, Bug and I went and dressed up as mimes and had a blast just dancing crazy and singing along to songs.

My next party was book club where we were supposed to dress up as a character from our favorite Book. Well of course my favorite book is Harry Potter so I went as Ron Weasley.

The next party was a witches convention. There is a group of women in Logan that get together every year for dinner and a fun Halloween activity. They all dress up as witches.  We saw them a couple of years ago at a haunted house we were at and Bug and I put our names on the list. Well this year we went and it was so much fun. We had dinner at firehouse and played some games and then went to the Ellen Eccles Theater for the Dracula tour. Dracula is a ballet that they perform there and the cast also does a tour of the Theater that is a scary tour.

And the last one not including Halloween day, was a zumba dance class at the Rec Center. Chelsea and I went to it together and dressed up like we were working out..... but just working out in the 80's.  It was fun to dress up but also get some exercise in.

Fall Fun

We had a lot of fun this fall, and I especially loved the cooler weather. Some of the fun activities we did were....

We went to the pumpkin walk. My kids both went with their school class and we went as a family on a Saturday.

We also went for FHE to the corn maze.  The kids had a great time and led the way. They actually did a great job and got us out two different times. And.... let's just talk about how adorable Stella looks in her Pixie Bonnet.

Wild West Murder Mystery

Welcome to the Wild, Wild West. We had a Halloween party with our friends and did it as a murder mystery party. The theme was obviously wild, wild west. It was a really fun one. Josh and I have done a few murder mysteries and this one was a good one. It had a surprise twist in it that was fun, and the characters were all funny. We had a great time and enjoyed a yummy dutch oven dinner cooked by Landon and Tessa.
