Halloween 2011

We had a great Halloween season! This year Drake was old enough that we could start doing some fun things and start traditions. The only thing we didn't get to, was decorating Halloween sugar cookies. I guess there is always next year. As you can see Drake was a lion, and a very cute lion. He would roar at pretty much every one we saw.

We started the festivities with going to the Pumpkin Walk for Family Night with Sheldon and Nikki. It was pretty cold, and we picked the busiest night to go, but we waited in line and went through. It was really cute, and we learned a lesson that going during the day is probably a better time with kids!

Drake wasn't so sure about it, but it was all worth it when he saw the Mickey Mouse pumpkin!

The next thing we did, was our ward Halloween party. We had dinner and they had a carnival for the little kids. Josh is in charge of the Deacons, and they put on a game called "Wack a Scout" like the game "Wack a Mole" The kids loved it. It was pretty funny!

Cutest lion ever!

Grace and Drake at the ward party. Look at her cute Wonder Woman costume that Hayley made. I love this picture of them.... and look at Grace she is totally pulling a face that looks just like John.

Grandpa, Grandma and Cooper came over and we carved a pumpkin. The little boys were more interested in playing with toys than they were carving pumpkins, but we got one carved for our front porch, thanks to Grandpa Syd!

The day of Halloween we met up with some friends and went to Lee's to go Trick or Treating. It was pretty cute, they had different stations that they could get treats and then a spook alley in the back (that traumatized the children), but it was a lot of fun! We let the kids walk through the whole store, when we should have put them in this cart, and Karly and I would have at least left there with half of our brains! You should have seen us.... wow! I am surprised we weren't kicked out of Lee's for life! Then we headed over to a pizza place for lunch and between five adults and seven kids... they were ready to see us go too!

We took Drake Trick or Treating to some of his favorite spots... first the Kendricks.

Then the Johns, Grandpa and Grandma Haslam and Rohwers!.

Then the Karrens, where they were having food, hot chocolate and treats for the whole neighbor hood. It was so fun, they had a big fire and lots of people! It was a blast!
