The last few months have been some good months. There for a while I wasn't sick anymore and hadn't got to the uncomfortable stage yet, so we were just hanging out and having a good time. Josh has been busy with school, work and his church calling, but has still found time to hang out with us. I am proud of him for all he is doing for our family. Drake is growing like crazy, and says something new everyday. He speaks in full sentences and pretty much just bosses me around all day. Some days he is excited for a baby sister, and other days he isn't so happy. In fact, the other day he told me he was going to be Naughty when Stella came.
The grocery store is quite the process. I usually try to not take Drake, but with Josh so busy, sometimes I don't have a choice. I used to have to push him around in those dumb car carts. (I HATE those things) but now he wants to push his own cart. That is worse because it takes twice as long to grocery shop because he walks slow and doesn't watch where he is going. At least he is cute while he is doing it.
Drake has some serious OCD problems that he gets from his mother. He also gets it from his uncle James. He acts just like James did when he was little. James would line up all his cars the same way Drake does.
We had our fair share of colds this Winter. Drake got sick and then of course Josh and I did as well. It is pretty cute when Drake is sick cause he will lay by me and wants me to snuggle with him. It gave me some time to rest as well.
Grandma Lisa bought Drake a Jamba Juice and he absolutely loved it. I have never got him one cause one they are expensive and he has never asked for one.
Drake and Cooper are best buds.
Grandma Barb
Hayley and Me at our Relief Society Unbirthday Party. It was a mad hatter party, and such a blast. We all made our own hats. They had it decorated darling and the food was delicious. I am so grateful to belong to such a great society!
Drake has loved having someone lay by him at night. Sometimes it gets frustrating cause I am just ready for him to go to bed but he wants books, songs, books and more songs. But lately he just wants to lay there and hold my hand. I LOVE IT!!! It is the best thing in the whole world and has made bed time and nap time a fun time!
We have had some warm weather and it has been so nice to get out and go for a walk.
35 Weeks
Uncle James paid for Drake to ride in this rocket at the mall. Drake loved it and thought James was the coolest ever for letting him do it.
Drake is so independent and has to do everything on his own! As you can see here. He had to put his own pants on.
36 Weeks
Drake is obsessed with coins. He asks anyone and everyone from some and is so excited to just get a stinkin penny. My mom and dad took him to the toy store and let him pick out something to put his coins in. He picked this coin box that looks like a mini safe. It has a key and a combination and all. Every time my dad sees him, which is often he gives him a handful of coins.
Josh and I went and saw "The Hunger Games" last week. It was so good, I absolutely loved it. It was nice to go on a date with Josh, and so fun to see a movie. Even though I was so uncomfortable the whole time, it was such a great movie, I didn't even care.
While we were at the movie, Drake was with the Karren Clan.
I told Drake a couple months ago that if he was a good boy, his little sister would bring him a toy. He immediately told me he wanted a bike. I ignored it a little in hopes that he would forget about that and pick something a bit smaller like a book or a puzzle. Oh no, the kid is determined to get a bike. He talks about it all the time and tells people that Stella is bringing him one. So, we ordered him a bike. It is a cute one. It's one of those balance bikes. The other day we went to Al's to look at helmets. He was stoked about this. The guy that was helping us brought tried on a toddler helmet... didn't fit, way to small. So then he tried a child helmet... still didn't fit. So on to the youth size helmet. It fit him perfectly! Ha Ha yep my child has a huge head!
Along with a few other things, Drake is recently obsessed with his dog Ike. My dad got it for him like a year ago at IKEA but Drake is now in love with it. He wants to take it every with him, which I am fine with, because just a couple of weeks ago he was telling me that Stella and the Easter Bunny were going to bring him a puppy!
Drake loves jumping on the tramp and being outside. He is full of so much energy and really makes me laugh every day. He is such a cute little thing, and we love him so much. I am so excited to have another little one join our family. I can't wait to see what she looks like and what her personality is like. Let's just hope that Drake decides to be nice when she comes. :)
