Easter Sunday

I love this picture of the Savior. It shows so much happiness, peace and love. I love Easter Sunday because we get to think about and worship Jesus Christ and his Resurrection. The kids on our primary are learning the song Gethsemane and I love the lyrics to that beautiful song. I am grateful for our Savior and the sacrifice he made for us so that we would all be able to return to live with him again.

The kids woke up to a fun surprise from the Easter Bunny.  They went on an egg hunt and a hung for their baskets. They got a few new things they needed for spring and some fun new books.

I made German pancakes for breakfast and we watched conference. It was a perfect Sunday.

It was also Josh's birthday so we had fun celebrating him.

During the break between conference sessions, Josh took the kids on a hike to the SV.  The kids loved it, and I enjoyed staying home in a quiet house and getting stuff ready for dinner.

Later that day we went to my parents house for dinner and their neighbor's, the Hickens had some baby chicks that we went over to see. The kids thought it was pretty cool.

My mom and Dad put on a pretty awesome egg hunt for the kids and hid a ton of eggs full of candy, and some of them had money in them. The kids had a blast, and we had just as much fun watching them.

I am one lucky girl to have these people as my family! The only person we were missing and we missed her a lot today, was our sweet Lauren.  We sure thought about her a lot though!

Dan's birthday is the day before Josh's birthday so we always celebrate the two of them together. They both requested graham cracker pie which is super yummy and super easy too! What a wonderful day, Happy Easter!
