Summer started the first part of June and we started if off as the busiest week of our whole summer, actually the busiest week of the year. It may go down as the busiest week we have ever had or will have. It was so much fun, but packed with so many different things. I didn't think I wold survive.
Drake was in an Art Camp all week with his friend Stein. They went every day in the morning and were there until noon. They had a blast and did all sorts of fun projects and learned some fun songs and played on different instruments. At the end of the week the parents were invited for a program and to see all of the projects they had made during the week.
We had our summer primary party this week that we as the presidency were in charge of. We played water kickball, made pinwheels, and had yummy treats. It was so much fun and the kids all had such a great time. I love being in the Primary Presidency.
My cousin Angela and her husband Kyle and baby Brenley came to Logan and surprised my grandparents. They were here for the whole week and we all had so much fun and got together with them any free second we had. One of the days we went to the pool. The kids loved swimming together and my kid especially loved that sweet Brenley. She is such a doll and we were all so happy to finally meet her and spend time with her.
Boston had a baseball game that we all went to. We took pizza there and had family dinner at the ball park.
The Summer Fest was going on that week so all of the girls went down there one day for lunch and walked around to look at the different booths.
I was happy to get my annual henna tattoo. I always get the Deathly Hollow sign on my wrist. I would hate having a real tattoo and would want to scrub it off the second I got it, but it is fun having one for a week.
This is how we all felt by about 2:00 every day. Stella was the only lucky one that actually did get to crash and take a nap or two.
We spent a lot of time in grandma and grandpa's backyard and at their house letting the kids all play together and chatting with each other.
We went to the pool that is at James and Lexi's house and swam some more and had lunch.
My favorite part of summer are the dinners cooked by a campfire in the canyon. We try to make it up there to do it as much as possible and this was a good one to start out the summer with.
The kids love playing up there, roasting marshmallows, eating hot dogs and just getting as filthy as can be.
We celebrated Angela and Layne's birthday this week, and my grandparents anniversary. We didn't do anything to special for them, but we at least were all together as a family.
All of these pictures are pretty much the same except for the dorks in the background!
We loved having Angela in town and absolutely love her, Kyle and Brenley! We are so happy they chose to do this for their summer vacation.
One of the mornings I met with my friends at Herm's for breakfast to celebrate Hayley's birthday. That place has some serious good food!
Drake was absolutely smitten by baby Brenley.
I just had to take a picture of all of the cars at my grandparents house!
One night we went with the Rockwood's to the summer fest to have some dinner and walk around. It was nice to have a little break from the kids and a break from all of the craziness of the week. Even though the week was so busy, it was also a lot of fun. There was something going on at every hour of the day and we tried to make it to as much as we possibly could, or Josh and I would divide and hit up two different things.
The week ended with this and we couldn't be more excited! I have to admit I am a bit nervous to have 3 kids, but we know this baby is supposed to be a part of our family. We still have a long while until this little one will be here, but we need the time to prepare and get ready for this next step in our lives.
