The month of September was a whole lot better than the month of July and August. I still experienced some sick days, but started to feel better and have days that I could get out of bed and do something. We went to the Utah State Hall of Fame dinner to support our good friend Spencer Nelson who was inducted into the Hall of Fame. It was so good to get out of the house, eat a decent meal and see our friends.
The girls were part of the Hi-lo Dance clinic. They learned a cute dance and then got to perform at half time at one of the football games. Stella loved being down there with Hannah and thought Hannah was so cool. Stella thought she was pretty cool too because she knew one of the older girls. They did a darling job performing out on the field during half time, and Drake was a good support to Stella, Grace and Ruby.
I found this desk at the DI a while ago for $7, but haven't gotten around to painting it. I finally finished it and loved how cute it turned out.
Drake had a fundraiser at school called the Tri School Trot. He pledged to run a certain amount of laps and some family members gave him some money for each lap he said he would run. He was sweating so much at the end of it, but had a blast doing it.
I found this drink at Natural Grocers! It is more of a dessert than a drink, but YUM!! It tastes just like the butter beer from Harry Potter World.
Some friends and I took a trip to the fabric store in Preston. We were able to stock up on some cute fabrics for different projects and the girls were awesome watching a movie together.
Drake loves dogs and wants a dog so bad. I would be more than happy to have one some day, but right now is just not the right time. For now he has to enjoy his stuffed dogs and other peoples.
Just because she is cute!
Josh won tickets from his work to the circus so he took the kids down one evening. They loved it and I enjoyed the night at home resting.
Drake loves riding his bike to the bust stop...
...and we love waiting for him on the front porch to watch for him as he comes home.
Eloise is one of my dearest friends. She is in our ward and I was assigned to be her visiting teacher. She is the sweetest lady I have ever known. She checks on me, comes to my house and drops off treats, she offered to iron all of Josh't shirts while I was sick (he didn't have the heart to tell her he just takes them to the dry cleaners), she calls me and she even texts me. She really is the greatest. I stop in and see her as much as I can and check in on her as well. She turned 90 years old this September and we went and saw her on her birthday to celebrate. We brought a treat and sang happy birthday to her. Drake told her that he drives by her house every day on the bus and he always looks out the window to see if he can see her standing at her front window. It was so sweet and I am grateful we have her as an influence and example in our lives. Happy Birthday Eloise!
We went to dinner to celebrate Hayley and Liz who are expecting their babies next month. We are so excited to meet these cute babes and welcome them into our tribe! One day we found a quote that says, "When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me, too!" be sure to cherish them. Because those weirdos are your tribe." So every since we have found that we just decided to call our group of friends The Tribe. They are all super fun, good friends and all super weird! :)
