My mom and I went to the Temple grounds to take some pictures of Drake. It is so pretty up there, and finally it has been warm enough to be outside. The flowers are gorgeous at the temple. If you haven't been, it is a great week to stop in and take a look. My grandpa works at the temple and told me a story about Russell M. Nelson. My grandpa ran into him at Aggie Ice Cream and they were chatting and he mentioned that he was in Logan for a Stake Conference. He said he didn't attend the temple, but he makes sure that if he is in a city with a temple he at least goes to the temple grounds and touches the temple. I loved hearing that story. I too enjoy touching the temple. There is a peaceful feeling you get when you are there that cannot be felt anywhere else. I enjoyed taking Drake there and I hope he appreciates and loves something as simple as touching the temple!

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day Josh! Sometimes I can't believe we are parents. Although we have a lot still to learn, we are pretty good at it. You especially are a great dad! Drake loves you so much. He lights up when he sees you. I am thankful you are going to be such a great example to Drake through out the years. You will teach him so many great things. Drake LOVES bath time, because daddy does it, and makes it fun! He loves it when you hold him. He also loves it when you play "get you!" He is a lucky boy! Thanks for being such a great dad to Drake and for helping me so much with him. Not only are you a great dad, but a great husband. I hope you have a wonderful day, may it be about you the whole day :)!! Love you!

Josh made sure Drake was doing good every second we were in the hospital. Drake was in the NICU and at times it was hard for me to be down there all of the time. Josh would go and be with him when I couldn't. Also, this is really personal, but I am grateful that Josh is worthy to hold the priesthood. When Drake was in the NICU, we were both really scared and he was able to give Drake a blessing. Drake responded to the antibiotics really well, and came home with us.

Josh blessed Drake, and gave him a wonderful blessing!

A very proud Dad!
Super Bowl Sunday....GO SAINTS!!

Also a Happy Father's Day to my dad! He is the best dad in the whole world. I love him so much and am so grateful for all he has taught me in my life. He is a good man that works hard and will do anything for his family!! He has shown me what unconditional love really is! He is a happy guy with a great sense of humor. I can talk to my dad about anything! Also, I can get almost anything I want if I just give him a kiss on the cheek :) I love you dad, thanks for being you!
And one more Happy Father's Day shout out to my father in law! What a great man he is. He is the kindest person I know. I have never seen him get the slightest bit angry. He always has a smile on his face and just goes with the flow. He is a joy to have around and makes everyone feel happy! EVERY time I see him he makes sure to tell me how much he loves me and how grateful he is that I am a part of the family! How sweet is that! How could I not love this guy... I couldn't!! I love you Syd!Monday, June 7, 2010
Memorial Day 2010 In St. George
We sure had a fun Memorial Day weekend in St. George. We took off on Thursday and came home on Tuesday. We met some friends down there for a reunion. It was so good to see everyone. We spent a lot of the time just chatting and catching up. Last summer we did a girls trip, and this summer we did a family trip. They both have been fun in different ways. There was a total of 17 people that went: 12 adults (two of which are pregnant), 4 toddlers and 1 baby. Let's just say I am pretty sure Chad and Liz don't want kids for a while :) Well, I have jabbered long enough, below are some pictures of our fun trip!

Drake was awesome in the car!

Especially when I was sitting in the back feeding him.
Hannah, Abby and Grace playing "Ring Around the Rosies" Becca's parents live in St. George and have a beautiful home that we were able to hang out in. The kids loved playing on the putting green!
John brought his metal detector....he didn't find much.
We went to church.
Hannah and Grace having a girls lunch.
Drake joining in to pick up the tab.
Jake and Whitney had a cool house they were staying at, so we hung out there too.
Drake hanging out with the guys. We had root beer floats, and well..... Drake enjoyed some too!
Hannah and Drake at the condo's pool.
The gang: Jake, Whitney, Luke and unborn baby Hawkins. Josh, Ashley and Drake Wood. John, Hayley and Grace Neil. Spencer, Julie, Hannah and unborn baby Nelson. Greg, Becca and Abby Church. Chad and Liz Giles.

Drake turned 6 months old on the 15th of this month. I know everyone says this, but I cannot believe how fast time goes. He is doing new things every day! Ok so I could go on and on about this boy. But those are some things that I want to remember about his personality at this age. I am having a blast with him and I love him more than anything!

Bieber Fever

Most of you know who this kid is. For those of you that don't.....just turn on your radio and you will be sure to hear one of his songs. Justin Bieber is the "it" thing right now. He can sing, he can dance and he has the looks. All the young girls out there have "Bieber Fever." And to be honest, I have it too. But, I think am coming down with something else..... Below are some videos of my cousin Mckay Johns. With a performance like this, he is bound to be the next Justin Bieber.....but even cuter! You think Bieber Fever is bad, well this kid is going to give you a stoMCKAYche!!! (That is all I could come up with) Enjoy!

I love being a mom!
-She is a great example to me of patience and unconditional love
-She is so funny
-She thinks I am funny
-She puts others needs ahead of her own
-She is so easy, and fun to talk to
-She loves McDonald's Diet Coke as much as I do
-She is my best friend
Thanks Mom for being a great mom. I love you so much!
I love my mother in-law as well. She is a fabulous woman! She has been a great mother to all of her kids, and I know all four of them love her very much! She has treated me as if I was her own daughter, and I really appreciate it! She is a very hard worker and is always willing to help anyone in need. I have learned and will continue to learn a lot from her. I love you Barb!

Another good thing about yesterday was talking to James in the Dominican Republic! It was so much fun. I have been looking forward to this for a while. I am really close to my brother, and I miss him like crazy! Just hearing his voice made me happy. He is doing so good. He is an assistant to the president and loves working close with his mission president. He lives with about 6 missionaries and he said they are all alike and have so much fun together as well as work really hard. He told us some neat stories about those he has baptized and the spirit that he has felt being a missionary. It was a great conversation! He is a great missionary and I am very proud of him! I love him so much, and talking to him was wonderful!
