St. George With Aunt Laurley

At the first of June my parents and James and Lexi went to the Dominican Republic to visit James' mission.  While they were gone Josh, the kids, Lauren and I went to St. George.  We drove down on a Saturday and then took Josh to the airport down there on Sunday and he flew to Spokane where he had some on campus classes he had to take for school.  So Lauren, the kids and I hung out in St. George for a few days.

We drove two cars down there because Josh stayed in St. George a few extra days than us so he could get work done down there.  On our way down Lauren and I stopped at the new H&M in Farmington.

When we go there Saturday night we went to dinner at Kneaders.  The kids love going there because they love to eat their sugar cookies.  It is also right by the condo so it is an easy place to go.

We stayed at my parents new condo this time.  It was fun to stay there and the kids loved it and slept great!

Monday we took Josh to the airport.  The kids came with me to drop him off.

Josh sent me this pic while he was in SLC waiting to get on the plane for Spokane.  He is a handsome dude!!

While we were down there we had to do a little bit of shopping.  We hit the usual spots:  Target, Gap Oulet, T.J. Maxx and Old Navy.  We found some good stuff on sale and just had a fun time looking around at the stores that we don't have in Logan.

Shopping with Drake is always a treat.  He was dancing and posing in the dressing room at Gap.

My kids adore Lauren! They loved waking up to her being there with us every morning.  She is so good to them and they love her so much!

We went to the pool every day while we were there.  Drake loves swimming and stayed in the pool swimming the entire time we were there. He would get out to eat a snack and then jump right back in.

We went to eat at a lot of fun places like The Pizza Factory, Nielsen's Custard and of course we got sugar cookies and drinks from the Swig!

Pretty much every night we would pop popcorn and watch a movie.  It was really fun and a great getaway.  I am so glad Lauren came with me and spent the time with my kids and me.  We laughed really hard and just had a great time!

Life In My Shoes

During the day I can't help myself because I take a lot of pictures.  I do this for a couple reasons...
1. Because my kids are really cute and 2. Because they do some funny things during the day that I have to have documented!  So the pictures below are what life in my shoes is like (besides the cleaning, changing diapers, cooking, etc.)

We go to Old Navy a lot.  They have been on a good streak and have had some really cute things for me and my kids.  Every time we walk in Drake has to say hi to his friend that is standing there and he has to pet the dog that is also sitting there and he usually says, "Hey there boy! You are a good dog!"  I don't have the heart to tell him that of course that dog is good because it is fake!

Drake also likes to to go Petsmart and see the animals.  He loves watching the dogs that are getting groomed.  He loves dogs, and asks pretty much every day if we can get one.  I just let him take his toy dog around and hope that will do for now!

We love eating lunch at Fredrico's.  It is a great place to meet friends and eat.  We usually meet Jordan or Annie and her kids here.  Drake asks every time to play this game.

We stop at my grandparents house at least once a week if not more.  I love going there and my kids love it even more.  Drake loves playing with the toys there and both of my kids faces light up when they see Grandpa and Grandma Great.  I am so grateful that we live close to them so that my kids can see them often and form a good relationship with them.  My kids adore them and this is our favorite stop during the week!  I talk to or see my Mom every day and I also talk to or see my Grandma too.  I am so grateful for the relationship that I have with them!!

I just love this girl!  She is so dang cute and one of the most fun things is dressing her!

I love this guy!  He takes care of our family and is happy the whole time he is doing it!

Then there is this kid!!  He is the best. He says the funniest things and makes me smile every day!

Grocery shopping is always a treat with two kids.  Drake either wants to sit in the car carts that are impossible to push around and I am sure I look ridiculous pushing it. Or... Drake wants to push his own little cart and he hits me in the back of the ankles the whole time!!

Josh had a customer appreciation movie that he held at the theater.  He spoke for a few minutes and then they showed Iron Man 3.  I am so proud of him for all the hard work he does. He is really good at his job and everyone he works with love him.

James taught Drake a trick to get rid of hiccups.  You are supposed to take a drink of water and look at the bottom of the cup and swallow and do that 3 times.  Drake gets the hiccups a lot and does the trick every time.  It is adorable that he remembers it and he claims it works every time!

We have been to the doctor a few times with sick kids.  Stella has gotten sick a few times and we have ended up in the InstaCare a few times.  Its so sad when she is sick, but she snuggles so good and looks so cute!

Drake always does a great job at the dentist.  He hasn't had any cavities and loves seeing Dr. Theurer.

I really have no idea what is going on here!

This is how church is every Sunday.  We are out in the halls with Stella or Drake the entire time.  Drake does great in primary and loves it but sacrament meeting is pretty rough!

We love going to Chick Fil A for lunch and for Drake to play on the toys. Drake's favorite part is trading his kids meal toy in for an ice cream cone.  But he has to do it all by himself!!

Love this girl and her curly hair!

Drake told me when we were at the store that he has ALWAYS wanted a bike with wheels!

Drake is a social little dude.  He talks to anyone and everyone and is always wanting to help too!

This kid is so sweet when he sleeps.  He has to fall asleep with a light on or he likes to come lay on Stella's floor while I rock her and he falls asleep there!

Drake loves his sunglasses and wearing tank tops.  He told me they feel good on his armpits!

Stella loves her daddy!

We have gone to the pool a lot lately and my kids love it.  Stella will just dive into the water head first.  She has no fear!

And last but not least, we spend a lot of time with friends and absolutely love the friends that we have!
