Easter Sunday

I love this picture of the Savior. It shows so much happiness, peace and love. I love Easter Sunday because we get to think about and worship Jesus Christ and his Resurrection. The kids on our primary are learning the song Gethsemane and I love the lyrics to that beautiful song. I am grateful for our Savior and the sacrifice he made for us so that we would all be able to return to live with him again.

The kids woke up to a fun surprise from the Easter Bunny.  They went on an egg hunt and a hung for their baskets. They got a few new things they needed for spring and some fun new books.

I made German pancakes for breakfast and we watched conference. It was a perfect Sunday.

It was also Josh's birthday so we had fun celebrating him.

During the break between conference sessions, Josh took the kids on a hike to the SV.  The kids loved it, and I enjoyed staying home in a quiet house and getting stuff ready for dinner.

Later that day we went to my parents house for dinner and their neighbor's, the Hickens had some baby chicks that we went over to see. The kids thought it was pretty cool.

My mom and Dad put on a pretty awesome egg hunt for the kids and hid a ton of eggs full of candy, and some of them had money in them. The kids had a blast, and we had just as much fun watching them.

I am one lucky girl to have these people as my family! The only person we were missing and we missed her a lot today, was our sweet Lauren.  We sure thought about her a lot though!

Dan's birthday is the day before Josh's birthday so we always celebrate the two of them together. They both requested graham cracker pie which is super yummy and super easy too! What a wonderful day, Happy Easter!

Josh's Birthday Date

Josh's birthday happened to be on Sunday this year and it was General Conference.  In my opinion that is one of the best days to have a birthday. I love general conference Sunday and we were all able to be home and celebrate Josh together. The weekend was full of celebrating too.  I am sure Josh was so excited to put the kids bunk beds together :)  Stella was ready to be sleeping in a big bed and we didn't have the room for them to be in two separate beds, so we decided to go with the bunk beds and let them share a room. The other room is empty right now, but one day in the future will be a nursery for a third child. Drake and Stella are excited to share a room and we are hoping they will get a long and sleep in there together.

Josh and I went on a date for his birthday and enjoyed some much needed time just the two of us. I am extremely grateful this man was born 33 years ago. He is my best friend and the love of my life. He makes me so happy and is the best husband to me and father to our kids. He truly is one of a kind, and I am the lucky one that snatched this guy up.  I love you Josh, Happy Birthday!

Baby Animal Days

I have never taken my kids to Baby Animal Days and I decided this was the year to do it.  Both of my kids love animals and I knew they would think it was pretty cool. The weather was so nice that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The kids had a blast petting and holding all of the baby animals and to be honest, my mom and I enjoyed it too.

March 2015

March was a good month to us.  Drake and I had a great time in Disneyland the first week of the month, and we enjoyed the nice weather we had.

Stella hanging out with Dad while he does some work in the garage.

We attempted potty training with Stella, but she just wasn't ready. So we still have this girl in diapers.

Stella loves her friend Rush Rockwood.  They were out of town and James and Lexi were watching their kids, so we went over one evening to play in their nice basement that they just finished and that I have serious envy over :)

I love days where we just hang out at home with nothing on our schedule. It feels so nice to just slow down and relax.

Drake asked us why Big Blue sucks on a binky! HA HA HA!

Happy St. Patrick's day from Sir Jimmy.

Drake helping grandma in her yard.

Stella likes getting her hair cut and holds so still.  Her brother on the other hand is awful and moves around a lot. He gets so itchy that he can't just hold still and wait for it to be over and then get all of the hair off of him. It is a fight every time we get his hair cut.

The kids love it when Grandma and Grandpa Wood come to our house.  They took advantage of them being there and had them read stories, play games and pull them in the wagon.

Our kids love going to the Bluebird to eat.  They always eat really well and they thing the ice cream counter is pretty cool.

Just reminiscing about the time Bug and I snuck through this door and explored the basement of the bluebird.

Found a place for the tee pee and made a little nook out of it.

Josh got rid of his car and bought a really cheap car that we could just pay cash for. It has been a good thing for us to not have a payment on two cars!

Drake and Stella got some mail from their Aunt Laurley.  She is so thoughtful and sweet to them!

Stella loves to help in the kitchen.  It's a good thing that Josh has his onion goggles on:)

This pictures cracks me up! Every time I look at it I laugh out loud!  What would we do without Stella in our lives?

I love this pictures of Grandma Great showing Stella the flowers that are starting to come up.
