6 Month Update

Drake turned 6 months old on the 15th of this month. I know everyone says this, but I cannot believe how fast time goes. He is doing new things every day! I just love this little man and I am so grateful I get to be home with him all day. At his six month doctors check up he was very healthy. He weighs 16 lbs 6 ounces being in the 23% for weight. He is 271/2 inches long being in the 75% for height. And his head is in the 94%. So we have a tall skinny baby that is really smart!! :) Here is an update of what Drake doing, what his little personality is like, and what he enjoys.

He loves his Johnny Jump at Grandma Rohwers

He is sitting up

He loves to cuddle

He has chubby knees

-He shakes his head back and fourth a lot
-He likes to gnaw on the counter
-He hates his vitamins and fluoride
-He loves the bathtub song
-He loves when Josh is done bathing him and yells "We Did It"
-He loves my friend Jordan
-He loves dogs
-He likes to slap his hands on the counter or on my arms
-He has stinky feet
-He snores
-He pounds his feet in his crib when he wants me to come and get him

Ok so I could go on and on about this boy. But those are some things that I want to remember about his personality at this age. He keeps us smiling and as you can see is has us both wrapped around his little finger. He is very spoiled! But, you know what..... who cares! I am having a blast with him and I love him more than anything!

Bieber Fever

Most of you know who this kid is. For those of you that don't.....just turn on your radio and you will be sure to hear one of his songs. Justin Bieber is the "it" thing right now. He can sing, he can dance and he has the looks. All the young girls out there have "Bieber Fever." And to be honest, I have it too. But, I think am coming down with something else..... Below are some videos of my cousin Mckay Johns. With a performance like this, he is bound to be the next Justin Bieber.....but even cuter! You think Bieber Fever is bad, well this kid is going to give you a stoMCKAYche!!! (That is all I could come up with) Enjoy!

I love being a mom!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I hope all of you moms out there enjoyed it too. Last year I was pregnant and so I was able to celebrate it, but this year was even better. I am so grateful I am a mom! Although at times it is a trial, it brings me so much joy. I enjoy watching Drake grow and do new things. I love the feeling I get when I am holding him in my arms and he is asleep. I love when he smiles at me, and better yet when he laughs. I could go on and on about what I love about Drake and what I love about being a mom, but I think what I have learned the most about being a mom, is how much my own mom has done for me. WOW! I love my mom so much and I appreciate so much all that she has done for me. Here are just a few things I love about my mom.......

-She is a great example to me of patience and unconditional love
-She is so funny
-She thinks I am funny
-She puts others needs ahead of her own
-She is so easy, and fun to talk to
-She loves McDonald's Diet Coke as much as I do
-She is my best friend
Thanks Mom for being a great mom. I love you so much!

I love my mother in-law as well. She is a fabulous woman! She has been a great mother to all of her kids, and I know all four of them love her very much! She has treated me as if I was her own daughter, and I really appreciate it! She is a very hard worker and is always willing to help anyone in need. I have learned and will continue to learn a lot from her. I love you Barb!

Another good thing about yesterday was talking to James in the Dominican Republic! It was so much fun. I have been looking forward to this for a while. I am really close to my brother, and I miss him like crazy! Just hearing his voice made me happy. He is doing so good. He is an assistant to the president and loves working close with his mission president. He lives with about 6 missionaries and he said they are all alike and have so much fun together as well as work really hard. He told us some neat stories about those he has baptized and the spirit that he has felt being a missionary. It was a great conversation! He is a great missionary and I am very proud of him! I love him so much, and talking to him was wonderful!

Cinco De Mayo!!!

I hope all of you enjoyed Cinco De Mayo! We sure did! Not only was it Cinco De Mayo, it was also my Grandpa's Birthday, giving us double the reason to celebrate. We started the night off with some dinner at El Sol, then we went to Holly's and hit at a Pinata, and then some cheesecake to top the night off. We had a blast and will be celebrating this day like this from here on out!

Las Vegas and St. George

We had a great vacation a couple weeks ago in Las Vegas and St. Geroge. We left on a Saturday with my family and went to Vegas for a few days, and then stopped in St. George for a few more days with Josh's family. We were gone for 8 days, and it was wonderful! The weather was great for us the whole time we were there. It was so fun to be around family and to spend time outside! BEWARE: There are a lot of pictures!

Las Vegas

On the way to Vegas. Drake was great on the drive down. Probably because I sat in the back with him the whole way down.

Drake loved being outside.

He also liked getting in the water.

We had perfect weather while we were in Vegas, and Drake took great naps outside.

Drake loves his Grandpa. He knows that grandpa is all play, and giggles everytime he sees him.

My little sister Lauren and Me.

We made our favorite stop to Krispie Kreme. My family used to go to Vegas a lot for Spring Break and we would always go to Krispie Kreme seriously like 8 times while we were there. It was our favorite place to go because you couldn't get one anywhere close to Logan. But this time we only went once and just felt full and disgusting after eating one. So..... we started a new tradition and went to Red Mango frozen yogurt. We went close to 8 times! That place is amazing!

Josh's idea.....don't ask!

M&M World

My favorite place on the planet.... The Coca Cola Store!

I wish they sold this size of cans.... I would have one everyday!

Me and my cute little sis!

We celebrated Josh's birthday while we were there. We went shopping during the day, and went to Benihanas for dinner. It was so good! The waiter had a huge crush on Lauren and kept giving her a hard time!

More time at the pool. My favorite thing to do on vacation!

Drake really likes being in his stroller. He did great while we went shopping!

Lauren and Me before the show Phantom. The show was so good. Just the girls went to Phantom and the boys went to Bodies.
My dad made it in a few photos, but my mom wasn't in any! Probably cause she was taking all of them. We had so much fun in Vegas! Thank you so much for the great trip... I am glad you will still let us come with you sometimes!

St. George

This was the first time Andi had seen Drake. He loved her!

We all went and saw the movie "How to train a dragon"

Me, Emmy and Cooper.

More swimming...

Logan, Me and Drake.

We played "Just Dance" on the Wii. Barb and Syd were good sports and played too!

Emmy beat us all! That girl has moves!
So as you can see we had a really good time. After lots of good food, sun and fun time with family, we came home very tired and had a hard time getting back into real life! I love vacations and hate it when they come to an end. Thank you Barb and Syd for the great reunion! It was so much fun, and it was so good to see Brad and Andi! It was good to see the rest of you too, we just get to see you a lot more!
