Shelley would be so proud!
There are a lot of people around me that are talented in the sewing area! I have watched my grandma, able to mend anything I bring to her, and have thought many times I really need to learn to do this, but haven't done anything about it. A few months ago I was at my mom's friend Shelley's house and saw some of the quilts that she has done. WOW! My friend Hayley has made the cutest things for her little girl Grace, and for herself. Well I was sick of just wishing I could do that, and I did something about it and asked for a sewing machine for my birthday! Thank you to my Mom and Dad I got one, and thanks to Hayley for getting me involved with a project that her and some girls from her ward are doing. We are making quiet books and they are so cute! It has been a lot of work, and Hayley has really had to help me, but it has been so much fun! So... like the gals I mentioned before.... I too want to be able to sit down and make anything I want! Like the title of this post says... Shelley you would be so proud, I am learning to sew and have a new fetish for material! I have a feeling this is going to be an expensive hobby!

Cute blog! Welcome to the blogging world, which can be a lot of work :) Only a month of blogging under your belt, and you've kept it up pretty well! Congrats on the sewing machine! I go through spurts of sewing, and then not sewing anything for a long time. I'm in the non-sewing phase right now. If you find anything fun to make, pass it on. Maybe it will motivate me! Can't wait to hear what you're having...
I AM SO PROUD!!! You are so dang cute! That is so exciting. I am also sorry, it is an serious addiction that is expensive. Hey, there are worse things. Josh can get sympathy from Wayne! You won't need sympathy, you'll be happy with all of your fabric. :D
Woot woot! Thanks for the rad shout out Ashley! Seriously, I am so glad you have hopped on the sewing train! We are going to make some dang cute stuff! Plus it means I get to hang out with you more!
