The Month of May

I always love the month of May. I love the time of year because the weather is warm but not hot, and it is my birthday month and Mother's Day which are always fun to celebrate.  I started the month by going to the temple with my friend Kenz.  I love going to the temple and love the peace and comfort I while I am there and when I leave.

We talked to Laur on Mother's Day for about 45 minutes. She looked so beautiful and she is doing so much good, but she also is pretty homesick and misses all of us just like we miss her. It was a good conversation thought and we are all super proud of her.

Drake loves playing games and his favorite lately is Monopoly Jr.

I woke up on the morning of my birthday to this letter. I was able to mark what I wanted for breakfast and then I enjoyed some breakfast in bed. It was wonderful!

The kids and I stopped at Jamba Juice and Einstein's and then met some friends at Adam's park to let the kids play and have lunch together. I have good friends and loved spending the afternoon with all of them.

Jordan was able to stop by for a few minutes on her break from work and brought me the best kind of cake. A diet coke cake!

How cute is that little face?!

James had to be in Salt Lake for an internship at Primary Children's hospital one morning we drove down with Lexi and met up with him when he was finished at the aquarium and then got something to eat. It was fun and the kids loved it.

My Dad is a goof. I love following him in instagram because he posts funny pictures and really cool pictures from all of his work travels. He is gone quite a bit, so it is fun to see what he is doing while he is away. In this picture he is riding a bike in China. He said he either had to choose safety by wearing a helmet, or choose no head lice by not wearing a helmet. He went with no helmet!

Memorial Day. Drake spent the night at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  We went with them to the cemetery and stopped by all of our loved ones.

Grandpa and Grandma Haslam was the first stop. Drake is named after my Great Grandpa Joseph Haslam.  I don't remember him, but I have heard many great stories of what an amazing man he was. I vaguely remember my Great Grandma Zetta, but have also heard great stories. When I was a baby she thought I was too skinny so she would sneak me into the kitchen and feed me butter. We took some flowers to their grave and Drake set up some pine cones for them.

My parents stopped at some graves and I stopped by my friend Courtney's grave. She passed away when we were in high school.  She was such a beautiful, kind girl. I wanted my kids to see the picture of her on the back of her grave and be introduced to who she is. They know her parents because Drake is also named after her dad who is Drake. He is such a wonderful man and I will be happy if Drake grows up to be just like him.

This is just a random text that went back in forth between Josh and me. I thought it was pretty funny and wanted to document it.

The Neil's had a gender reveal party at their house and invited us all over for pizza and to watch them crack open a pinata that was either going to be full of blue or pink. It was full of pink and we are all very excited to welcome another little Neil baby girl into our tribe.

The weather was great for the first while and then it started to pour!!

Drake and I went on a lunch date to Jack's. It is one of the best places in Logan to eat.  Drake loved watching the guys flip the dough and make the pizzas. I by far had the cutest lunch date there.

Another attempt at potty training that failed. But I liked the way she pulled her shirt up!

I love going to the Greenhouse and getting my pots. Garden Gateway has been so helpful and has helped me have beautiful pots the last couple of years.

It is going to be a dirty, wormy summer!

This is what happens when you talk to your friends at Chick Fil A and don't pay attention to your kids. Her diaper was sagging so low it was coming out of her shorts. Seriously this chick needs to be potty trained!

Sometimes you just have to go to sleep with a sticker on your head.
