Park City With The Giles

We had a free nights stay for two rooms from Josh's work. It was for the Zermatt Hotel in Midway. We asked the Giles to join us. We left Friday after work in a huge rainstorm. We drove to Park City and ate at Red Rock. Then we drove to Midway and before checking in to the hotel went to the Dairy Keen and got some ice cream.  The hotel we stayed at was really nice and had an awesome pool. The kids had such a good time swimming.

Stella adores Harper.

My kids act like dogs everywhere we go. I really should get these poor kids a dog!

Stella loved the phone in the room. I am sure she dialed the front desk a few times!

Stella started to cry in the early morning because she wanted to lay with us. We brought her into our bed and she was out. One of the perks of being on a vacation for her!

She took over that king sized bed and forced Josh and I out of it!

We got cleaned up and headed into Park City.

The drive was absolutely beautiful!

Our first stop was the Alpine Slide. This wasy view most of the day:! :)

We got on the lift and went to the top of the mountain.

Drake was a little nervous about the slide and didn't know if he was happy
About going fast and Stella kept saying "faster, faster!" She has no fear! Drake ended up having a blast and wanted to do it again.

After the slide we went and got some lunch at the Mexican Restaurant. It was so good. Stella was flirting with the host at the restaurant. She is going to give us some grief when she gets older! :)

We then made a stop and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for a treat.

Then we went to he outlets for just a few minutes and we ran into Josh's parents there, and we also ran into....

Mary!! It was so fun to see her. It had been so long since I had seen her and it was so fun to chat for a minute. I miss her a lot!

After Park City we went into Salt Lake and went to the Aquarium. It was cool and Drake loved seeing the animals, but I don't think I will ever go back. There is a reason all of the top aquariums are along the coast!

After the aquarium we parted our ways and we took our kids to a cookie shop called Ruby Snap. They were some good cookies.

Then we went to the SLC airport and surprised my dad getting off a flight. He had been gone for a few weeks and it worked out for us to surprise him. It was a lot of fun.

We stopped and got some dinner on the way home and then Drake rode with my Dad on the way home and fell asleep almost instantly.

I love weekend getaways like this. It is refreshing and makes for someone is memories for us and for our kids.
