My cousin Angela that lives in Oregon got married the first week of July. We were so excited for her because she found a great guy and we knew that she would make a beautiful bride. But... we were also excited because it meant that we were all going to drive up there so we got to stay a week like we did last year in the same beach house as we did last year, The Dawn Treader in Lincoln City, Oregon. We had such a great time.
We left on a Friday afternoon. We all met up and had a caravan of 4 cars. We headed on our journey to Pendelton, Oregon.
Drake has recently been potty trained and he did awesome on this trip. He made sure and let us know when he needed to go to the bathroom. Most of the time we stopped at gas stations, but sometimes there wasn't a gas station to stop at.
I got behind the wheel and at one point was trying to catch up to my dad. Well.... that didn't turn out for me so well and I got pulled over. I was going really fast for seriously only like 10 seconds just so that I could get caught up. I saw my dad up ahead and gunned it to catch up and at the time that I was going my fastest a cop was on the other side of the freeway and he got me. I was so embarrassed and mad that I go pulled over! It was a pretty hefty fine!
That night we finally got to Pendelton and stayed at the Motel 6. It had recently been remodeled so it actually was pretty nice and very clean. All of the kids went swimming. Elli, Hannah and her friend Emmy loved playing with Stella.
After swimming we all walked next door to the Shari's for dinner. I love road trips for this reason. Just being with family and making fun memories like these.
Drake was so happy to have Boston with him on this trip. He and Boston rode in my grandparents van the whole way up. They just hung out together and watched movies. Drake thinks Boston is so cool and Boston is so good to Drake. Even though we didn't eat dinner that night until 10:00 p.m. the boys were still smiling.
The next day we got in the car and drove to Salem, Oregon. We went and saw Angela and got to see her new apartment where her and Kyle were going to be living. Then we got some lunch and drove on over to the coast and arrived at our home!! We were all so happy to be there and I am pretty sure The Dawn Treader was happy we were there too. We all just went to our usual spots from last year and made ourselves at home. My mom and Holly got all of the grocery shopping done and some people went down to the beach.
Drake loved getting in the hot tub. He loved it when Lauren would get in with him. So he usually went to her when he wanted to get in "the hot pool".
The water was freezing, but the weather was so nice and all of the boys including Drake had a great time playing in the waves.

The next morning was Sunday morning and we had a yummy hot breakfast. Everyone slept in so we didn't eat breakfast until really late... But Josh slept in particularly late. We all had eaten and he still hadn't come down stairs so we all got the breakfast ready on a tray for him and ALL of us took it up to his room and sang the song "Good Morning" from singing in the rain and let him have breakfast in bed.
Drake and Boston watched at least one movie a day in the big movie theater. Usually it was just the two of them in there watching it! They would pop some popcorn and be good to go for a couple hours.
Stella took some awesome naps while we were up there.
Later in the afternoon on Sunday we all went to the beach and played baseball and flew kites. We had a great time. Ben and Julia came over so we were able to spend the whole day with them.
There is a park right by the house we stayed in and the kids loved playing on the swings and slide.
Sunday night we stayed up late playing games, talking and watching movies so we woke up late again on Monday morning. It was a little bit overcast that day so we just hung out and relaxed.
Later in the evening we went to the park and played baseball. All of the kids, teens and adults had a great time.
We went on a lot of beach cruiser rides.
We had a fire that night and roasted marshmallows and had s'mores. It was really fun!
Chapman came with us and I am so glad he did. He is so awesome and so much fun to have around. We love that kid!
Every night our kids were so tired and went to sleep so fast. They played hard all day and just crashed at night.
Monday night Angela and Kyle came over and had dinner with us and they we all stayed up late and played Mafia. We had a blast!
Tuesday we were able to just hang out on the beach and relax at the house. Some of us went over to the outlets. They have the best outlets I have ever been to and they are in Lincoln City. We found some awesome deals. We had a great with Angela and Kyle and were grateful they came over to hang out with us considering they had a lot to get ready for their wedding. My kids adored these two and Ben and Julia.

Wednesday night Josh put together some minute to win it games. We can always count on Josh to get some good games in. Everyone had a blast and it was funny to watch some of us try to get these games done in 1 minute.

We played poker while we were up there and James won and was very happy!! He came down to me and him and I went all in and lost it to James!
Thursday was the 4th of July. We had a great day just hanging out and eating yummy food all day. We took some family pictures in the evening.

Later that night we went down on the beach to watch fireworks up over the ocean. It was so fun. The environment was so cool!
And of course Drake fell asleep on the way back to the house. It was our last night at the house so we stayed up and did the usual. Played games, watched movies, talked and ate a lot of food.
The next day we drove over to Corvalis for Angela and Kyle's wedding. The wedding was so beautiful and so much fun!
Angela looked stunning and Kyle looked great as well. The ceremony was so great and they both looked so happy and so in love. We truly are so happy for the two of them.

They had a dance after the dinner and it was a blast. We all stayed the whole time and just danced the night away.
These two were hilarious and danced so hard they were sweating from every pore!
Stella had a great time and loved the music and dancing too.
They had fires set up outside for people to go out and make s'mores.

That night after the wedding we drove to Salem and stayed at the Motel 6. It was AWFUL!!! I have never stayed in a dirtier hotel in my life. When we pulled in there was a couple slow dancing in the parking lot to no music. There was a stray dog hanging out. Each of our rooms smelled different. We found a phone book at the bottom of our bed in our sheets... gross!!! When Dan and the boys walked into their room the air conditioning unit was laying on the floor. The next day Holly walked past a room where a maid was laying on the bed smoking a cigarette in a non smoking room. The next day driving Boston threw up and had diarrhea the whole way and when they finally got home Boston, Hannah and Elli all got lice. It all came from that dirty Motel 6. We got there so late that we really didn't have any other option but to stay there. Even though it was terrible we have all laughed really hard about it and it made for some hilarious memories.
The next night we stayed in Boise. We decided that a cheap hotel room just wasn't worth it anymore and we stayed in a nicer place. It was a great way to end the vacation. Everyone went swimming in a clean pool and had a good nights sleep. The next day we drove all the way home. We had a great vacation and are so grateful to my grandparents who paid for the beach house. It truly is one of the best vacations because we are all there together with no schedule and it is so relaxing and fun! I have an awesome family and I am so glad that I am a part of it. Thanks to Angela and Kyle for getting married!!
