Weekend Getaway

I love little weekend getaways.  When I was a little girl I loved going to Salt Lake and staying in a hotel.  I always had so much fun going down there, going out to dinner, swimming and sleeping in the dark cold hotel room.  My dad would always get orange juice and sprite to mix and drink after we got done swimming and before bed.  Still to this day I love staying in hotels.  We took a weekend getaway a couple weekends ago down to salt lake. 

We met up with the Neils Friday night for some dinner at Smashburger.  Isn't that Grace hilarious?  She wanted her hair to look like that... I love her!

Then we went back to the hotel and went swimming.

Josh went to the store and got orange juice and sprite!

We forgot Drake's pajamas so he had to sleep in one of my t-shirts.

Stella played in the drawer all morning while I was getting ready.  Josh got up and went golfing with some of his friends.

I took Drake and Stella and we went shopping and I let Drake go to Build a Bear.  He loved it and thought it was so cool to build his own. He chose a dog that he named Stuffy.

Once it was all stuffed he got to give it a big hug.

Rub the heart.

Put it on his forehead to make it smart.

On his knee to make it run fast.

On his back because his new dog will always have his back.

He closed his eyes and made a wish.

He kissed the heart.

And then he put it into Stuffy.

Then he gave Stuffy a shower.

Drake was so proud of his new dog Stuffy!  As his mom it was so much fun to watch him have such a fun time.  After we went to the mall we went and met up with Josh and a bunch of friends from college.  There were like 37 of us there and we swam and had a BBQ.  It was so much fun to see everyone.  We had such a great time that we didn't even take a picture. We have the coolest friends!

Drake swam and played really hard and fell asleep on the way home.
