The Random Parts of Summer

We have had an awesome summer filled with lots of fun trips and things to do.  We also have had a lot of fun with just our day to day activities.

Drake loves going to Chick Fil A to play in the play place and to get ice cream after he is done eating. We usually go with friends so he likes to play with them.

He has to go and get his ice cream by himself with no help!

We have had lots of baths at Grandma's house this summer.

Drake and Hunter went to a summer camp at their soon to be pre-school.  They had a lot of fun and it got them excited to go to school.

Drake had an accident in his car seat so we had to put him in the middle seat.  He had no pants on because they were soaking wet with pee. 

Drake got potty trained this summer. It actually was really easy.  He only had a few accidents.  He was ready to do it and so it was so much easier than if I would have pushed it sooner.

I have gone to the quilt shop a couple times this summer to sew in their attic with friends and family.  We have had a blast and have worked on some fun projects.  This lady came up and just sat down by my mom and watched her sew for a good half hour.  I was dying laughing!!!

We have gone to the park a lot!  Especially on Sundays with my family for dinner.

Another time that Drake had an accident we had to dry is clothes quick!

We always have so much laundry to do and it is something that I cannot keep up on.  I try to, and it never works.  I hate doing laundry and just let it pile up before I (Josh) finally fold it!!

We go to Grandpa and Grandma Great's house a lot. My kids love going there to see them and play with their toys and in their backyard.  I love having them so close so I can stop and see them all of the time.

My kids love bath time!  With being outside so much this summer they have had a lot of baths.

Drake has been getting scared lately at night and has wanted to fall asleep on our bed.  We don't let him very often but how can we say no to that sweet face?

We just love her so much. She is so dang cute and sweet.

Lauren celebrated her 18th birthday in July.  Drake took her out for a picnic and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Later that night we got together for macaroons and ice cream.  We didn't have a candle so we used a lighter!!

We went to a movie on the lawn at Mack Park with some friends.  It was so fun, and the kids loved it!

My friend Errin had a baby so Jordan and I went down to see her and let my kids play with her kids.  It was a lot of fun and so fun to sit and talk with the two of them.  I love my friends from high school so much!

We had to make a stop to Target!

We got a flat tire on the way home.  I was so grateful to these two guys who pulled over and helped us change it!  I have no idea how to change a tire!!!

I watched Copper and Capri for a couple of days while the rest of their family was out of town.  We had a great time!  The kids were all awesome and loved playing together!

Stella barfed in her car seat so we had to have her ride in the big car seat while the other one was being washed.  She loved it.  If she wasn't so dang small she would be able to ride in one all of the time!

Both of my kids got a couple colds this summer.....what the heck, who gets a cold in the summer??  It wasn't very fun!!  Other than that though, we have had an amazing summer filled with lots of fun things!
